The apartment we had is in another building, an old building at around 100 meters by hotel. When we entered inside the apartment it were around 18 degrees Celsius. The kitchen was pretty messy, some cleaning in detail from time to time would be nice. The couch in the living room has dirt stains. On the walls visible stains from the people who passed before by there, even a moschito dead
The location is just two streets down from Piazza San Marco with all its main attractions. 1 minute walk to Riva degli Schiavoni, the main promenade along the bay. The reception was manned at all times, you need to drop your key off and pick it up. The room was a decent size with a large bathroom. Nice and clean shower cabin. Fresh towels every day. Everybody was very pleasant and helpful. Beware of mosquitoes! Leaving the windows open during the day or at night will let a lot of unwanted visitors into your room. Unfortunately, there are no nets on the windows, so sleeping with closed windows and having the room closed all day long leaves the air in the room rather stuffy and does not really promote good sleep. Other than that, a perfect place to explore Venice during a short trip.…
We had 2 double rooms and stayed 3 nights. Both rooms were clean and in good condition but both smelled of smoke. The rooms were also fairly small but that wasn't an issue. It's a really good location being down a side street about 5 mins walk from St Marks Square and 1 minute from the seafront. There are lots of coffee shops, bars, restaurants a short walk away but the area near the hotel was quiet. We had no noise disturbance. The breakfast was included and whilst basic, there was enough of it. The staff were friendly and helpful both on reception and at breakfast. And as in all of Italy they strictly observed the mask wearing rules for covid-19. We were temperature checked on arrival.
We stayed her for the weekend, the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned immaculately and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location, central and easy to find. A 1 minute walk away from the water taxi drop off too so ideal for drop off/ pick up. Lots of places to eat and drink near by. The hotel staff were informative and worried about our safety of getting home with the coronavirus outbreak and assured us they’d do everything they could to help. We were lucky enough to fly back without any bother, and were sad to see the hotel on lock down when we left. We hope that the hotel will not be affected by the outbreak. All the best. Would recommend staying at this hotel.
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was brilliant. This is a basic hotel but it does everything brilliantly. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful and the rooms were always very clean. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. It is in a great location, minutes away from St. Marks Square and a water bus stop virtually at the end of the street! Plenty of restaurants, bars and other tourist bits nearby too! If we come back we would definitely stay here again!
Based on good reviews, I booked a room at this hotel for Feb. 2020 (carnival) thru Hotels.com. I needed to change the dates of my stay so tried to contact the hotel. First, Hotels.com tried to call the hotel with no success. They tried on multiple occasions. Then I tried calling, faxing, emailing (both in English and Italian). Not being able to contact a property is the first in my experience (1-2 international trips over 30 years). This place may be lovely but it makes me nervous about what will greet me when I arrive. Since I was scheduled to arrive one day later than booked, would my room even be there when I arrived? So I’ve cancelled my reservation and booked down the street. It’s not worth the anxiety and uncertainty to stay at this hotel.
Stayed at this hotel due to its easy access from the airport by ferry and the proximity to St Marks Square and many shops, Also ferry services to other areas.Hotel staff very helpful and English is spoken. Only continental breakfast is available. Many restaurants and cafes in the area.
A memorable trip from Rome to Venice, on arrival @ airport took taxi to water bus terminal to reach S.Marco harbor. Full of anxiety to reach Hotel Commercio & Pellegrino, Calle del Le Rasse. This trouble or anxiety is self created as I did not investigate well to reach my destination. There is well connected system from Airport to reach city of Venice. staying near St. Mark square by water bus. I & my wife stayed in the above Hotel from 29 ~ 2 July'19, the stay was amazing. The Foot walking tour and trip to three Islands was awesome & memorable. Local people are very helpful and they understand English. The food in the restaurant outside our hotel was highly expensive. It is better to use super market for food staff. We had little problem to find public toilet but can use Bars, as a good gesture it is advisable to purchase some small drinks. Coming back to Hotel rooms were clean, toilets are very good. The hotel staffs are highly customer oriented and value for hospitality. I would like to mention about one staff Mr. Simone, quite helpful and he volunteer his assistance to the possible extent. We are highly satisfied. Thanks to TripAdvisor for giving such platform to share our experiences.…
I stayed here for 3 nights with my 11 year old daughter. The location was excellent, a few minutes walk to St. Marks square, and a few minutes from a main vaparetto stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful, directing us to some very good restaurants when we checked in late on our first night. The room was very clean with traditional décor, and street noise was ok. My only issue with the room was lack of sockets to charge phone, I eventually found one in the bathroom! And the room was very warm, I was told that aircon wasn't turned on in April. The breakfast was good, my daughter really enjoyed it! A good selection of meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay again.
Visiting Venice with my mother for her birthday treat I wanted to find a reasonably priced hotel conveniently located on the basis that we'd spend most of our time out exploring and experiencing Venice. Having landed at the airport the Alilaguna Blue or Red lines take you to the San Zaccaria stop which is literally a 1 minute walk from the hotel (as long as you are going in the right direction!). No need to wheel cases across Venice through tight alleyways or over bridges. The location is also perfect for walking to San Marco and Doge's palace (under 5 minutes away) and the nearby vaparetto stop means you basically can get anywhere you want. There are also a wealth of restaurants and shops right on your doorstep and a great coffee shop one street over. Whilst the hotel is reasonably basic, it is clean, comfortable and all the staff on the front desk are incredibly friendly and always happy to help (and speak brilliant English!). The shower always had hot water and was reasonably strong and we had an espresso machine in our room too which was nice for a quick pick-me-up on our occasional pitstops to drop off souvenirs or change our clothes etc which was possible as the hotel is so well placed. Breakfast is the normal continental affair and perhaps I would have preferred a greater choice of yoghurt and fruit but these are relatively minor grumbles. All in all a sound, well placed, basic but incredibly friendly Hotel which is in the PERFECT location to explore this great city.…
