Great hotel in the perfect location about ten minutes walk to St Marks square. The main thing for us was the friendliness of the staff who really couldn’t do enough for us. Perfect!! The room was just the right size with a view over the lagoon looking up to the square. Very comfy bed and the breakfast and dining area was lovely . Can’t rate this place highly enough.

Hotel's Favourite
We’ve stayed in a few different hotels in Venice so far & this one is by far the best! #1. From my research, a room with a water view usually costs quite a lot more & in some places you have a wall a few feet from your window, but it’s true that every room in Bucintoro Hotel gets a lagoon view! #2 The staff here are all top notch! From the free upgrade to our room without us asking for it to the charming & extra-ordinarily accommodating Manager Stefano & the cheery, friendly breakfast staff as well as all of the other staff there who give the utmost, over & above service they can. We got the breakfasts included room which was fresh, quality European style as well as top notch pastry selections. #3 We saved a lot of money on the transportation & tour of a Murano glass factory & even had our own private water taxi there & back. #4 The rooms were very clean & the deep, comfortable bathtub was a refuge after a few chilly walks in the time of year we were here. Stefano provided blankets on those days for us to sit outside & enjoy the view. #5 On the last day Stefano even gave us a parting gift which was a beautiful reed diffuser! I may have even missed a few things to add to the amazing quality for our stay here but I certainly couldn’t ask for more! This hotel went over & above our expectations!

We stayed at the Bucintoro in the first week of May 22; it was our second stay and, like the first in Dec 19, it didn't disappoint. Stefano and his team are just wonderful; charming, knowledgeable and excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they take a lovely hotel into the exceptional. This is a gem of a hotel, convenient for the tourist trail and yet in the more venetian area of the city. The rooms are beautiful, all with lagoon view, luxurious bathrooms, beds like clouds and spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet - what could be nicer, especially when the sun is shining and you can eat outside, overlooking the lagoon. A ten minute stroll takes you to St Mark's Square and if that is too much effort, the Arsenale vaporetto stop is less than 100 yards away. Garibaldi Park is nearby if you want to wander in the shade and admire the Biennale exhibits and the Via Garibaldi (left out the hotel front door and over the bridge) has wonderful restaurants at much less heinous prices than around San Marco. And all the while, the hotel and excellent staff are only a stroll away. We've been twice; we will return. I can't imagine staying anywhere else than the Bucintoro, a definite home from home.

The Hotel Buchintoro is in an excellent location. It faces the lagoon in a quieter section of the city, less than 10 minutes from San Marco Square in one direction and the public gardens in the other. The hotel's water taxi stop is only about 100 feet from the front door over level pavement. There is a small elevator that we used when checking in and out with luggage, otherwise we used the stairs. We had a corner room, #204. It was very spacious with front windows that looked out over the lagoon and side windows that looked up the mouth of the grand canal toward San Marco. The front desk staff is extremely helpful and kind. They made reservations for us for water taxis and for restaurants. The hotel offers a full breakfast with lots of choices. The breakfast staff is extremely kind and provided us with breakfast when we needed to leave the hotel early before regular breakfast hours. This is a wonderful hotel with an equally wonderful staff!
