Venice was one of my favorite places to visit during our tour. This hotel's location right on the island with its antique Italian look makes it a gem. I wouldn't consider staying off the island after the advantages of staying so close to everything. Breakfast was good, people were nice room was older but clean.

The location was just amazing. Easy walking distance to all sights and very easy to find. The service was incredible. The employees are very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was great. Hot coffee or tea and an incredible selection of yogurt, cookies, croissants, cheese, juice, cold meats, mini sandwiches, and scrambled eggs....

We recently spent 3 nights at this hotel and they were delightful! The staff, especially Michaele, were very helpful. You can even buy concert tickets at the hotel, which is very handy. the hotel has a great location, very close to St. Marks Square and the the vaporetto stop. Helpful hint: when we got off the vaporetto we were met...

This hotel is in the ideal spot, 3 minutes walk to St Marks Square and 5 minutes to Rialto Bridge. The gentleman on reception was very welcoming every time we left or entered the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was full of information on the highlights of Venice. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice...

This hotel is 5 minutes from St. Mark's Square, the staff is very friendly and efficient, breakfast was really good and my room was clean & comfortable. It's a historic building so yes, there ARE stairs only, but that was good for working off my meals! I would definitely stay there again.

A friend and I stayed at the Hotel Serenissima for three nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is absolutely perfect! Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
