We stayed at the Hotel Saturnia & International for 4 nights in May. I will say the customer service at this hotel is probably some of the best I’ve ever had at any hotel in Venice. People at reception, breakfast and the bar could not have been nicer or more helpful. The location is very convenient and there is a private water landing. It is very convenient to the Giglio Vaporetto stop as well. My friend and I booked a quadruple room and requested a set up of 2 double beds. What we got was a double and a single that was sort of like a cot mattress, with a sort of couch attached in an L-shape configuration. We have been back for 4 days and she said her back is still hurting from it. Our room was also very dark. The fans don’t work properly in the bathroom area and unless you shower with the door open, the entire bathroom will fill up with condensation and it can take hours to air it out. Aside from the room, everything was wonderful at the hotel. Breakfast had plenty of options and I can’t fault them anywhere else. I probably won’t return because of the room experience but to be fair, we didn’t mention it while we were there to even see if there was an alternative. I think other room categories are probably much better here and there is a reason they are rates so highly. I knew about the hotel because I usually come to the bar when in Venice and will continue to do so. …
I stayed here before the pandemic and made a promise to myself to bring back the family. Of all the places I've stayed in the city, Saturnia stands out as my favourite. Great location, lovely rooms, fabulous food, but what stands out is the service. I wouldn't look to stay anywhere now. Can't wait for next visit.
All aspects of this hotel were simply superb. Staff were superb, very freindly / helpful.. Very CLEAN, great location, good food. Loved the bar, gym.. Venice became quite busy during our stay and the roof terrace provided a nice quiet space to get away from busier times.. Definately use this hotel again..
We had originally planned on staying one night to fill a gap in our itinerary, but when we found we could stay longer we stayed 5 days. They offered a substantial discount for this weekday “walk-in” and included a magnificent complementary breakfast similar to top American hotels with fresh orange juice, etc. The Concierge, complete with long-tailed tuxedo, was magnificent. His advice on all matters in Venice was greatly appreciated. He booked a complementary private tour of the Murano glass works and arranged the bellman to escort us to the boat transit dock on the early morning departure. His flawless English was one of 5 more languages he mastered.
The hotel was excellent and there was a lot interesting and beautiful places around. The weather could have been better at the beginning. The situation of the hotel is great and it was very easy to go and see those many historical attractions nearby.
Great location, great property, great staff. Really enjoyed coming back to Hotel Saturnia and, of course, to Venice. Bar staff excellent. Restaurant was top quality. Concierge staff really helpful e.g. obtaining tickets for us.
Chose this hotel mainly for the location during the first week of 2022 biennale. Me and my colleague stayed for 6 nights and it was just great. Everyone was so nice and the room was classy and clean. Hope to come back soon and stay here once again!
We stayed six nights at Hotel Saturnia and it exceeded our expectations. The concierge staff, in particular, is outstanding in terms of their attention to detail and professionalism. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent. A corkscrew and wine glasses in the room would have been a nice touch. Highly recommended.
Just returned from our 3 night stay here with our 18 month old. Arrived to the door by private water taxi which set the tone. Be aware there is an extra €15 fee from private taxi because of location. The staff at reception/concierge made an absolute fuss of our son especially because he was obsessed with the dog statue in the lobby. Now he won't stop saying Ciao. The room was large and typical in venetian style with a huge chandelier. Excellent hot powerful shower. Breakfast was plentiful, maybe some extra hot choices. Pastries and cakes beautiful. Location was perfect. Surrounded by high end designer stores, San Marco piazza literally 5 minute walk at most, gondolas 2 minute walk either direction, lots of bars and restaurants at canal side locations to choose from. Hotel bar very good drinks and snacks... make sure you check out the rooftop terrace. Beautiful views with a telephone to order drinks from the bar. …
This was a nice quaint little gem. The location was wonderful. Lots of shopping and restaurants easily accessible from one entrance and water entry/ exit from another. Room was great size, breakfast was good and all staff were extremely kind and helpful.
