We stayed at Hotel Alexander for three nights before moving onto Venice. The hotel decor is a little dated but the room was clean and tidy and the reception staff helpful and welcoming. There is a fridge in the room which is useful and you...More
We went on our Europe Tour 2016 in November, all was very nice, the rooms where clean, small but very cozy. All services where available such as free wifi and we get the breakfast and was really tasteful. I will definitively recommend Alexander Hotel.

Put up for 1 night here as the Ambassadori had problems. So its very close the tram stop with great staff and a fine breakfast buffet. Rooms were small but very comfortable. They staff couldn't do enough for us. Will stay there again.

I took the airport bus that stops less than a block away from the hotel on the main street. If i remember correctly, I think it cost 6.50 euros pp one way and is a good option. Venice Marco polo airport is not very far and the hotel can provide you the time table and tickets for the ride. This would be a better option if it's one or two people but if you are a family of more than 3 people then i think taking a taxi makes more sense. I don't think the hotel provides any kind of shuttle service.
