This hotel is really ornate. Its rooms are snug and comfortable while being clean and comfy. We particularly liked the old style they have kept throughout the property. We loved the roof terrace. We used it most days and we were very lucky with the weather. We took our coffee up there, it was lovely and peaceful. There is no kettle in the room so take one if you like a coffee before leaving the room in the morning. Alternatively outside of the front door to the left is a cafe who do take out coffees, teas etc. I would recommend this hotel. The only downside is collecting the keys at the other hotel. I suggest one stay and enjoy a drink at the cafe / restaurant next door with the luggage and another go check in and collect the keys. Remember you will need to take both passports with you to check in.

For someone who has never been to Venice, I did not know what to expect. Was slightly nervous to find that we had to check in at a different hotel which was 8min walk away, but was actually relieved as all was fine when we did check in. We were given a code to enter to get into the building and our keys were at the hotel with names on for us. It was quite nice not having someone at the reception desk for our stay, but it also would have been nice for security and safety reasons. The only negative points were that our air-con did not have a remote or anything and the thermostat on the wall was not working, so had to stand on a chair to turn it on, otherwise the room was very very warm. Feel like there definitely could have been worse things so can't complain too much. The WiFi did not work well if at all, it connected for about 10minutes and then stopped working for ages, thankfully was only needed during the evenings as we were out majority of the time, however would've been good to have working WiFi. It was great to have the option of a cleaner to come in everyday to clean the room and provide fresh towels, the downside to this was that they came between 9:30-12:30 and we would not know when they were coming and they would knock on the door and then try and enter with a key, not great for times where we were not up as early and feeling on edge that someone was going to come into the room while we were in bed. A do not disturb sign will have been very good to have for this situation. The walls were quite thin so often heard people talking in the rooms next to us, thankfully nobody was too loud so we got lucky. Overall, it was a lovely place, clean, high ceilings, slept very well and in a great location as the other reviews confirm. For first timers in Venice is was a nice place to stay and we were right by everything, all was within walking distance and we were happy with our stay here.

Wonderfully warm, large bed, tall ceilings, very clean, not far from all the main attractions and very very comfortable. Would most definitely stay here again I personally have not one complaint about the accommodation and would recommend to family and friends. We got a lot more for the price than we thought we would. I have no idea how they kept the room so warm considering the average EPC is F or G

I can deeply recommend the place. Interior has spirit of Venice is cosy and elegant. Room is very well equipped, has nice bathroom, comfortable bed (what is quite rare during travel ;) ), frige and working well air condition. Moreover is super clean (daily cleaning), fresh towels. Perfect location! Check in is in a different place, I recommend to check it before check in ;). Only wifi is quite slow, mabybe depends in which room. Place has my strong reccomendaton. For sure I will come back!
