The hotel was easy to find as it is conveniently located right across the train station. It is close to the vaporetto stations to go down the canal as well as to Murano, Burano and Torcello. The rooms were a bit tight for 3 people,...More
The location of the hotel is really perfect,
Walking distance from pizzale Roma and exactly opposite St Lucia train station.
The nearest water bus station is ferovia.. from where you can catch the vaperato for St Mark's square, Murano , Burano and all over Venice....More
My husband and I have just spent five days at this hotel and it's been really lovely.

We had the top floor room,405, access with lift to 3rd floor and had to climb stairs to 4th floor which is a bit of a pain and not for any disabled guests which decent view over roof tops, room adequate with usual -tv,hair dryer,...More
Lovely, friendly hotel. Well situated near to the bus station and railway station. Very close to the Grand Canal. The room was light and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate - the shower was over the bath. Hairdryer provided. The breakfast was lovely, typical continental...More
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.

The Hotel is quite nice, but a little hard to find (especially in the dark). Google Map it before you go and know that the little street you need to go down is REALLY little. They have an awesome breakfast! Lucky you going to Venice : )
The hotel are open 24h, the gate in the "shortway to grand canal" closed around 10pm but just need to walk around (also a better street in the night!) to reach the hotel entrance anytime. It's easy and safe.
