Had a fabulous stay for 3 nights at this delightful hotel. Location is excellent and we were lucky to have a room with a view of San Marco square.
Staff were all very efficient and polite. Prince in the bar is worth having a chat...More

Smaller, well appointed hotel just off San Marco Square. Rooms were quite nice, if not luxurious. I loved the firm bed while the wife prefers softer. Staff were all very attentive. Very good breakfast served, included eggs. Be sure and visit the bar while there.
In May 2018 I stayed at the Hotel Concordia in San Marco. It's a beautiful hotel with first class service, beautiful rooms and is easy to find. If you can afford it, book a room there and you won't be disappointed. We did not find...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

We are used to having a porter meet us. In this case we didnt and we dragged the luggage ourselves through the square. It was not that fun. So I suggest you call the hotel and book a private taxi pickup with porter to and from the dock. The private taxi was easy to get ,it was around 60 euros.Of course you wont have to worry about that if take care of it in advance. So start with the hotel.Marina and David were especially helpful. Ask if you need more info from me.
On the departure we were smart enough to get a pick up service. The guy came to the hotel and escorted us to the water taxi , which was really close. And he stayed with us untill we checked in,THIS WAS REALLY GREAT,I DONT KNOW WHAT WE WOULD HAVE DONE .YES IN CAPS.DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO TO THE AIRPORT ON YOUR OWN.
