The staff was excellent and the hotel is newly remodeled and well maintained. Our reason for the poor review is that we paid for a" Vista Rio" room and the view was of multiple construction sites and to see the small canal below you had to look straight down thru the barred windows. We're paying over $1000 per night and when we asked about getting a room with a view we were told that it would be $450 more per night. We did not accept.
Spent three nights in the wonderful hotel and I can't say enough good things! I just wish we'd been there even longer... The hotel is perfectly situated - right on the lagoon and a few minutes walk from St. Mark's square. The experience is 5 star from the moment you arrive at their private dock and are checked in while sitting under the stunning Murano chandelier in the lobby. We were upgraded from a Junior Suite to the Executive Suite which was roomy and comfortable. The attention to detail in the hotel is wonderful and the property is beautiful. It's peaceful with an interior garden, reading room, restaurant and bar. All provide a welcome retreat from the crowded tourist areas of Venice. The service is absolutely top notch. The staff were completely at our disposal and helped us with many things - from restaurant reservations, to a trip to Murano to covid tests for returning to the U.S. Would recommend this property without reservation and hope to return some day!…
Amazing hotel, very elegant, exquisite interior, down to the very fine details, beautiful rooms. Stayed there as a couple with other friends. While the location is ideal, and close to everything, there’s a ferry/bus stop right in front of the hotel allowing easy travel within Venice. The service is courteous, with great recommendations around town. Finally, I can write pages about how comfortable the bed and pillows are, I actually asked them about it to get pillows for my home. The bar is a lovely place for a nightcap or for drinks before going out, with amazing bar tenders and a very sophisticated cocktails and drink selections. Would definitely stay there again!
Excellent stay at Ca Di Dio. We have just returned from a 5 night break and stay in a Junior suite from Sunday - Friday. It was our first time staying at the wonderfully designed hotel, which had a mid-century feel to it. A nice bottle of Prosecco welcomed us. Amazing stay in Venice. We are regular visitors to Venice since the past 10 years. It was our first time staying at the Ca Di Dio, which was one of the best decisions we made. The hotel is beautifully renovated Pilgram House, with magnificent interiors and Murano glassware throughout the hotel. Checkin was flawless with excellent service throughout. We loved the genuinely friendly sincere staff that went out of their way to look after us. The stay was super from beginning to end. The Room was beautifully appointed, with beautiful marble - comfortable bed. Whomever decides to stay here will not be disappointed. We can whole heartedly recommend this beautifully appointed hotel. Restaurant VERO Venetian Roots had a great selection of fresh delicious food, and a good variety of wines. Congratulations on beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Perfect for us as it is a bit quieter and away from St Marks square. By far the best feature was the hotel bar - which we loved and its wonderful reading room. We loved the bar, especially the amazing Negronis and Spritz and Martini cocktails on offer made by Venice friendliest and wine bar. Thanks especially to Francesco - restaurant manager, Marco Mdolla, Filippo Reggio, Mattheu - the bar men and special thanks to Veronica from the breakfast staff. We will be back…
Great place, just a walk to St.Mark’s place.Very romantic. Ecxelent service. Dinner, breakfast, cocktails all great. The guys at the bár are always in a very good mood, everyone is very polite. We loved it! Thanks🥰🥰🥰🥰 Zsuzsanna&Oscar Vass
Exceptional. We had a fantastic stay for my wife’s birthday, the staff made everything from our initial entrance to our departure a great experience. The location is perfect, a very nice distance away from the hustle and bustle and busy main streets, yet close enough for convenience for both travel by foot and water. A nice retreat after a busy day! Would 100% recommend and thank you.
My first trip to Venice & we couldn’t have picked a more perfect hotel, with stylish decor throughout. The location is excellent & rooms are a great size. All the staff are so helpful & nothing is too much trouble for them. Special mention to Marco & Diego in the bar: such fun, friendly people who always gave us a great welcome after a full day walking the city. Ivan too who was so helpful with recommendations & making reservations for us. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough, we will definitely be back.
A beautiful, well located hotel in Venice. Exceptionally friendly staff who were really accommodating when we had an issue with our first room. Our concerns were quickly resolved with no questions. I am coeliac and the hotel did an excellent job of ensuring gluten free products were available for breakfast and were very knowledgeable about all of the items on their menu. We only discovered the cocktail bar on our last night which was a shame. I’m pregnant so couldn’t fully indulge as the menu looked incredible, but the barman made me a lovely fruit cocktail instead. My husband said his cocktail was one of the best he’s had! The ice cream is to die for, homemade and the best we had whilst in Venice.
This relatively new new hotel (only 6 months since established) is extremely well finished and the service excellent. From the reception, service and bar team we saw nothing but and extremely friendly and professional approach. The cocktail bar, while relatively small is not to be missed. It’s principle rests upon providing locally sourced and novel spirits when available. The cocktail team, Matteo, Marco and Diago really brought a new dimension to service, enlightening the customers with a cheerful and friendly disposition. I can highly recommend this hotel and suggest and booking a junior or executive suite.
My last visit to Venice was 18 years ago; since then Venice has held a special place in my heart. I arrived with my friend on 23rd January by private water taxi - we were deposited at the Arsenale Vaparetto stop which is just a few paces from the Hotel. Marco who works front of House came out to greet us and to usher us and take our luggage into the Hotel. Check in was seamless (Reception beautiful and was once the Chapel in the building that dates back to 1292). We were soon taken to our Suite numbered 201 - oh wow! I was simply blown away by the views - my excitement was unbridled! The suite is beautifully decorated, stylish and comfortable. Cases dropped we made our way to the bar for a much needed libation. The cocktail menu is extensive but I settled for a G and T - no ordinary G and T though! Venice is a beautiful City and the Ca’ Di Dio is a beautiful addition. Everything about the Hotel is stylish, polished and fan or not, lots of Murano glass. As we arrived on a Sunday we decided to try the taster menu in the Restaurant. Again, the design and decoration is stunning. The menu is somewhat limited and it would be helpful for there to be more on offer for us Pescatarians. A small detail and certainly not something to complain about - the pasta dish is rather delicious - my bathroom scales will back me up on that one! And so to breakfast, Veronica our waitress was so helpful, knowledgable and attentive. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. Lots of choice, coffee excellent, and the juices are top quality. I managed to resist the temptation of a detox juice! After a hard day with endless walking it was nice to return to the “House of God” and relax for a while in the bar before readying ourselves for Dinner. Marco again attentive, friendly, knowledgable and great fun. When you order a drink you are given a little offering of nibbles (actually not so little!) Olives, Almonds, Crisps … its a job to tear yourself away from such a beautiful spot. The Courtyard is a lovely place to have a coffee and is a setting of tranquility. To conclude, I could not recommend this Hotel highly enough. The staff are attentive and keen to ensure your stay is a happy one. Unfortunately I didn’t keep a note of everyone’s name who made my stay so memorable - but special thanks to Marco in the bar, Marco II front of house and of course Veronica on the breakfast team. We didn’t see who tidied and changed our beds or the person that dealt with the turn down service but thank you - the little gifts left for us were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. Reception were really helpful and happily printed off our Covid Documentation for purposes of return along with our boarding passes. To whomever took 2 years to restore this beautiful building - congratulations - its a triumph. Top Tip - if getting a private transfer, do ask that they take you to the Hotel’s private landing! Our departure alighting a very small boat in choppy waters from the Arsenale was somewhat terrifying!…
