Hotel Rialto We have just returned from an excellent stay at the Hotel Rialto. The staff at the Rialto we’re all very welcoming and and professional. The front desk were very helpful during our stay. The room was on the first floor with a canal view .This “junior suite” cost a lot extra but judging from my wife’s tearful (but ‘I’m really happy ”) reaction it was well worth it.This was named a junior suite but in fact was a single but large bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The room was well decorated in beautiful Venetian style with well chosen traditional furniture to match. There can’t be a better view of the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal, some 50 meters away . The Hotel has a roof terrace that also affords great views especially at night, if you can’t get a Canal view room it’s worth a visit.Housekeeping was nothing short of excellent and all was kept tidy and clean daily to a high standard. The Hotel offer a free breakfast which is quite an interesting direction these days . We all know there is nothing (in business terms) free in this world and accounts will have factored it in but hey - it’s OK to be different. The breakfast is interesting : there is a small range of cereal and alway some scrambled egg - and something I think that tastes slightly like bacon. It’s wafer thin and must be traditional, but it takes a little getting used to, and is a long way from UK bacon. Coffee is delicious and there are plenty of croissant, pancakes, fruit ,cakes ,cheeses etc if you like a continental style breakfast. So you can get off to a good start for the day exploring wonderful Venice after breakfast. The only fault I can find is not offering a wheat alternative cereal at breakfast - it’s a must nowadays. All the Venice restaurants offer gluten free pasta and that wheat free alternative eg: rice crispies or equivalent is so important to many people, including myself who had no cereal during my stay after being told by restaurant staff it wasn’t possible. The Hotel is really well situated for transport links and I really would recommend getting a water taxi from the airport as it will stop for you at the front door ! It’s a busy and bustling area both day and night . The Rialto bridge seems to attract a lot of late night “singers” and chatty groups who have had a few glasses of wine, the double glazing is ok but I’d recommend closing the wooden shutters if you are a light sleeper ! It was only the first week in May but we had a couple of uninvited mosquitoes to thank for their attention , so be prepared if they like you ! We slept ok most nights and it’s not a problem , all part of a very positive experience. All in all a very good stay and a wonderful 5 day break in Venice.…
I only stayed here one night and am glad this was the hotel I chose. I travelled with my elderly mother who finds steps and long walks difficult so I chose this place for its convenient location. We had a great time, we upgraded to a canal view which I highly recommend, and we used the panoramic terrace too. Breakfast was plentiful, and if I could have anything to say about it is that on the day the staff seemed overworked/understaffed. Special shout out to reception staff that helped when I discovered I had been pick-pocketed. In Venice be extra vigilant with your belongings!
As a couple we like to say ‘ if a place jumps out at us’ we will give it a go! Well this place jumped out at us, not only because of the location which is right beside the Rialto Bridge but also because the team working looked friendly and welcoming! We were seated by a gentleman with a man bun and earring, (didn’t get his name) but he was lovely, he even charged my phone in the back for well over an hour while we were there. We ordered a LARGE beer and that’s exactly what we got 😂😂, see the pics 🙌🙌🍻🍻🍻. Really enjoyed this pit stop and when we return to Venice, I’ll be returning! 🍻🍻
Have been here before years ago and glad we came back. Not sure you can get a better location in Venice. Typically old style rooms. Very cosy and quirky. We paid for an upgrade which was well worth it for the view alone. Only slight negative is that the breakfast could be repetitive during a longer stay.
Me & my husband arrived in style by water taxi from the airport right to our Hotel, Right next to the famous Rialto bridge, I didn't really know what to expect! We arrived on a Saturday on the last 4 days of Carnival. The bridge was jam packed. On entering our Hotel the entrance was lovely, clean, bright with friendly professional reception staff, all suited & booted. We were given a KEY for our room, yes a proper old fashioned key, & the bell man helped us up to our room. 2 floors up by lift, 2 floors up by stairs. Our room was 415 we walked into a hallway with a venetian chair turned the corner past the bathroom into a beautiful old style Venetian room decorated in blue! Two windows with shutters & voiles... Lovely room, but NOTHING prepared us for the view!!! We were above the steps of the Rialto Bridge on the right & to the left a beautiful long view of the Grand Canal. ❤️OMG, all my dreams had come true for my long awaited stay in beautiful Venice! I cried, my smile was hurting my face. I can't tell you how happy I was with our room for my big birthday which was the very next day! Bathroom was big. Everything was maintained well and spotlessly clean. We had a flat screen TV but WHO looks at a TV with THAT VIEW?? The room was tended to every morning. And we had breakfast included which was continental with rolls, cereals, croissants, pan au chocolate, small American style pancakes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon. Tea/coffee. All served in a nice breakfast area on the ground floor! Part of its own restaurant /Café where we had a very nice pizza. As it was Carnival it was busy outside & because of the Rialto Bridge, the cafés the restaurants, lovely atmosphere though. Lots of wonderful Venetian costumes walking around & on the Gondolas. Shops & a nice square around the corner. This hotel ticked ALL the boxes I will NEVER forget that view, ever. Bed was comfy, pillows good. The heating easy to use, the weather was beautiful sunshine, but cold especially at night, but our hotel was always cosy & warm. The staff were amazing. So helpful, and friendly. We also had a Free water taxi trip to Murano & entrance to the glass factory. Hubby bought me some Murano earrings. Hotel Rialto is a 4* hotel, & the view is 5*. Thank you to all the staff for making my birthday so special & giving us a fantastic room with a stunning view! The Covid measures were very good too.…
Had an incredible stay, location might be one of the best in the city next to the Rialto Bridge, have a terrance from where a good landscape of the bridge can be obtained for amazing photos, personnel are friendly and breakfast is very good
Having booked the Hotel Rialto for my birthday with partner, you couldn’t wake up in a more beautiful place. Stunning! The rooms are lovely, with friendly staff and perfect location. The pictures I’ve shared are the views from the hotel only.
My 2 nights stay in Hotel Rialto was perfect. I had a canal facing room on the first floor. The room was bright and quiet. I had breakfast delivered to my room. The entire stay was a luxurious venetian experience.
Easy to find in the labyrinth that is Venice if you don’t know your way around. Wonderful location literally at the steps of the Rialto. Easy check in. Lovely room. Good decor. Small, but adequate bathroom. Amazing view overlooking the Grand Canal. (It’s really worth paying a little extra for this). The view from the terrace is pretty special too. The breakfast is more than substantial and there is a supermarket 50m along the Grand Canal towards Academia. The Vaporetto stop is right outside the door (as is a gondola if you’ve got the cash for a licensed bandit in a boat!)
Great stay in the heart of Venice!! Even though we had basic rooms they were great.. Very well taken care of very clean and comfortable !! Breakfast was also great to start the day!! Loved walking out of the hotel to rialto bridge and within a couple minutes walk to all the best places!! For November it was awesome not too crowded and not to quiet!! Would stay again any time!
