We loved the location of the hotel being almost in the middle of Rialto bridge and Sr. Marks' square. It's located by a quiet canal and foot steps away from great shopping and eating options.

The Splendid Hotel in Venice has an amazing location between the Rialto and San Marco square. It’s a boutique hotel with lovely rooms. I usually stay in the larger luxury hotels in Venice but decided to give this hotel a try since I booked last...More

Splendid Venice is a hotel of excellent standing in a perfect location.
Situated halfway between piazza San Marco and Rialto bridge, the hotel is away from the crowd but yet close enough to the main attractions.

It’s a excellent location. Between St Marks square and Rialto bridge. 3 mins your are on either side. Plus Gandola are available just right outside hotel. Very lively location. We had great time. Excellent helpful staff.
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
