This hotel is pricey but worth every penny. The service was fantastic, our deluxe suite was sumptuous and clean. There are beautiful views from the restaurant too. Breakfast is also expensive but of very high quality and with bottomless prosecco well worth the money! Reception and concierge were very obliging without being overbearing, and the chambermaids were excellent and fitted...

The staff was amazing in every area, from the front desk to management to concierge services and housekeeping. Excellent location and convenient to all areas of the city including San Marco. Easy drop off and pick area for the taxi/shuttle. Breathtaking sunrise views. Excellent breakfast buffet. We were treated with genuine kindness by Mr. Dulla Mura and his team. They...

This is a very grand luxury hotel from the moment you arrive! Large entrance hall with marbled tile floor - very Venetian. We stayed in a deluxe grand double room which was very grand! Very large room, comfortable, with very comfortable queen size bed. There was a separate dressing room and large bathroom...all amenities provided. One thing to note; due...

We are actually staying here at the moment, while the hotel is "comfortable" enough, I am extremely disappointed at the prices that they charge as we paid a considerable amount to stay here. Breakfast is 29 Euro each, per day. We cannot receive any English channels on our TV only worldwide news, and was told this is an extra 35...

absolutely beautiful hotel. large, we!coming lobby with lots of Venice artifacts and murano glass inside. Our room was a booked through priceline, so it was a standard room, but plenty spacious. Extremely comfortable bed, room for several chairs in the room, and the shower.... Wow! Great tub/shower, with two shower heads (one that's a hand held). And a towel warmer...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
