This is very nice hotel I just stayed in. I had a beautiful canal view. Bathroom was updated. The room was not huge but many times as we know when you’re up there or not. The staff was very lovely and I know speaks English and French and probably some other languages. Definitely would stay there again
We spend months looking at hotel for the perfect combination of price, location, and accommodation. Simply put, this hotel is transferring its bookings to another hotel, which in my mind is unacceptable. If you know the hotel isn't going to take customers, don't take bookings. I know Covid has hit all of tourism very hard, but that isn't an excuse. I paid more money than I'm normally comfortable paying for a surprise, beautiful canal view for my pregnant wife. While the hotel we were switched to is nice, the provided "canal view" is essentially the bus station. Unfortunately a pretty upsetting way to end an otherwise lovel vacation in the rest of Italy.
Arriving in Venice can be overwhelming when it is your first time in Italy. Hotel Arlecchino is walking distance from the second stop on the ferry from the airport, but rolling suitcases are not the best for getting over all the bridges. They greeted us with a smile, free storage of bags and a map of the city that I still have. When we returned from exploring our canal view room was ready. It isn't the Grand Canal, but I loved the small canals more anyway. I will never forget my views from my windows in the mornings and evenings. It is a quiet part of the city away from the crowds. Close by is Archcchetti Bakaro where they make the best Aperol Spritz and appetizers and Rio Novo (make reservations ahead of time). The hotel has amazing breakfasts and make sure to get a cappuccino. Coffee to go is considered rude. Italians teach us to sit and enjoy your coffee!!!…
I am very upset that this hotel decided to NOT give me a refund for a room I booked for September. In light of the global pandemic I decided to postpone my cruise which I was to board in Venice. I can’t believe that this hotel is so greedy as to not give me a refund so far ahead. They just refused saying it’s their policy! How awful that at this time when people are losing their jobs they can be so greedy. They could have refunded me due to this crisis, I didn’t cancel because I wanted to. Money is not the root of all evil, greed is. Shame on you!
The folks who run this hotel are wonderful. They have been very understanding and accommodating during the current mess. I would not hesitate to stay there and recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be booking there again.
