Another wonderful stay at the Bauer Palazzo in Venice. We booked our 3 night stay for my wife’s birthday and it was lovely to be greeted like old friends with a bottle of chilled Prosecco (this is our second visit). The room had a delightful terrace view of the Grand Canal. Service and cleanliness were outstanding. Breakfast was excellent and my wife was touched by the complimentary bouquet of flowers delivered to our room on her birthday! Faultless. Thank you to the everyone at the Bauer - you made this a truly memorable stay.
LOVELY POSITION PLEASANT STAFF VERY CLEAN GREAT BREAKFAST well worth a visit good position very close to main attractions and water bus. a cool calm oasis in the centre of venice roof terrace was lovely and cool on a warm summer night
Stayed at the Bauer for the Venice Biennale opening and was very impressed how the hotel has improved under new ownership. It’s really worth upgrading to one of the few canal view rooms for a breathtaking view! Breakfast was another highlight - as was the rooftop bar with the best view over Venice!
Our view was beyond amazing out our bedroom window. Perfect view of the canal!! The breakfast was one of our favorites ever and should not be missed! Would highly recommend this property. Good location, great staff and overall wonderful experience!
Location 6 out of 5. Staff 6 out of 5 (special thank you to Marco at the Concierge & Valentina for the lovely room with the most stunning view over the city). Flawless service and simply a true gem one must experience when visiting Venice. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the water, the boats coming and going… what else to ask for. We will be back!
A brilliantly located hotel right on the Grand Canal. The facilities, accommodation, trasport arrangements and everything else besides was just right. As members of the Leading Hotels of the World we often receive an upgrade, as we did here. We had a delightful room overlooking the Grand Canal. The hotel ticked all the boxes in terms of cleanliness, staff attentiveness, good food and is a very pleasanr place to be.
Having booked a superior room for 4 night, disappointed with lack of things like a kettle or iron in the room. Rooms are a bit tired, but sure I read a review saying a refurbishment is planned and needed in the rooms. Public areas are lovely - old world elegance. Our biggest disappointment and one staff cant sort was the scaffolding on the hotel next door. We complained and for our last night the manageress upgraded us to a Grand Canal view. Thank you so much - the sun even came out so we could enjoy the balcony. Only other thing to be aware of are the birds. If you are sitting on the terrace for breakfast, or even a drink (you get crisps and nuts), DONT leave table unattended or the birds will swoop… eating food, knocking glasses of tables. Staff do try and clear tables the minute you leave. Great location. Would love to go back after refurbished.…
Excellent hotel in a fantastic location in the heart of Venice with all the expensive shops and tourist attractions close by. Visited for 4 nights in May 22 in a Superior Double room. Easy to find and Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb with wide variety of food to please all tastes, great service and a nice view of the working world of Venice outside on the water. Both rooftop and terrace bars were comfortable places to relax and had great views. Lobby great place to be amused watching people stumble / get into Gondolas. Superior Double Room comfortable and functional with air conditioning, mini bar, safe and nice en-suite. Excellent towels changed every day and room clean and tidy. Not the best room I've ever had but for the price and it being in the heart of Venice, I have no complaints and think it was great value. Hotel is both oldy worldly and modern, with the use of door keys, quirky lifts, room doors open outwards whilst Wi Fi and comms are excellent. If I visit Venice again I would definitely stay at the Bauer, no hesitation. This was my second trip to Venice and the Bauer was a far superior hotel to my previous visits hotel despite them being rated similarly.…
The Bauer is the Perfect Location for our group of six in Venice. From assisting with advice on our water taxi arrival and departure, to everything we wanted to do in Venice, the front desk, concierge and all staff did an excellent job. Thanks.
Wonderful Hotel, very elegant in a great position close to everything. The terrace on the Grand Canal is a lovely area to have breakfast or lunch. The rooms are very comfortable, good size and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
