overall amazing place, very design and super confortable, rooms and beds are top, food is really great, service at its best with super friendly staff. and... location is the best, it feels remote on the map, but its not, and the sunset with a drink on the terrasse is a must,,, bravo, and congratulation
Something odd happened with our booking--Booking.com cancelled it. The staff was quite helpful in finding us a room anyway. The room was comfortable, on the quiet side of the hotel overlooking the garden. It had a great shower (one in which the water pressure is predictable and the water stays in the shower). Public boat transportation, including water taxi, is just out the front door and the crowded sections of the city, with the main sights, are a few blocks away.
The team at this hotel are excellent. Front desk, restaurant and bar are all friendly, helpful and efficient. This really makes a hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a canal view room which was a delight, such a comfortable bed. Only ate breakfast in the hotel and that was delicious, obviously in covidworld it is table service and you order the night before. Plenty of choice. There are a few tables outside with a view of the canal for breakfast and sunset drinks. There is a really inventive cocktail list. Location is very good as not too touristy (although Venice is very quiet anyway just now). Lots of drinkies and eateries within a 10 min stroll and San Marco is not much more than a mile away. Worth investing in a shared water taxi ride to and from the airport we think. Great way to arrive plus drop off 50mts from hotel.…
We stayed here for four nights as part of our honeymoon, having been transferred from the neighbouring hotel which had not yet re-opened after COVID. We were not disappointed with our new hotel! When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a canal view room, and the Giudecca canal was exceptionally quiet, possibly due to the lack of cruise ships! The entire hotel had very quirky decor, which had clearly had a lot of thought put into it. The room itself was lovely, with a very comfortable bed and excellent facilities. The breakfast was delicious and the garden at the back of the hotel was very picturesque, particularly at the end along the small canal. The cleanliness of the hotel could not be faulted, and hand gel was readily available in all the public areas, where everyone (staff and guests) also wore face masks. The staff were always unfailingly polite and helpful. All in all, it was wonderful!…
One of the rare hotel where everything is perfect We stayed 3 nights there we were upgraded probably 2 or 3 category above. We booked the cheapest room and ended in a room with a view on the canal. The staff is very simple and friendly, we were advised 2 restaurants and they were absolutely flawless as well. Breakfast is served in the garden in the back. On the picture the room look probably too simple but actually the design is top. Go there
My husband and I stayed at Il Palazzo Experimental for 3 nights and were really impressed. It was one of the nicest hotels at which we ever stayed. The hotel has a luxurious feel but is also laid back. Kind of reminded us of a fun house with the pastel colors and striped walls. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a canal view which was stunning. The room was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Slippers which had embroidered masks illustrations, lush robes, a beautiful shower, and luxurious amenities. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the front desk team couldn't have been nicer and more helpful as they helped us with our plans of which nearby islands to visit. We also had drinks at the bar one evening and the bartenders were delightful. If we return to Venice in the future, we would most definitely stay again. …
Just for once a hotel that actually lives up to online pictures. Our rooms were spotlessly clean with everything we needed provided. Bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home. Loved the decor, not over the top but with a fun holiday vibe. Air conditioning worked well with the bonus of opening windows (beautiful view over Guidecca canal). We had breakfast in the hotel, good variety of choices. Great fun in the evening choosing cocktails (with help from the lovely bar staff). All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A really welcoming hotel in a quiet location but very close to all the famous sites.
I stayed here for a long weekend with my husband booked through Mr and Mrs Smith and it was perfect! The design of the hotel is very quirky and an interior design heaven! We had a room which looked out onto the water and it was beautiful. I would definitely recommend a water view room. The neighbourhood is less touristy meaning it is quieter and there are also some great bars and restaurants close by. The staff are very friendly and went out of their way to help. I would stay here again and recommend it for anyone visiting Venice.
We picked the hotel based off the beautiful and stylish interiors. It lived up to the pictures and much more! Service was sublime, extremely warm and helpful. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable! The cocktail bar selection was great and reasonably priced as hotels go. The area for us was ideal, away from the touristic crowds and overlooking the waters. The main areas are accessible within 15/30mins depending on where you want to go. My only critism (albeit a very small one) was that the super high tech £2k TV wasn't connected to the internet so we couldn't relax and watch Netflix (no English channels either) in our evening before bed. 5 🌟 Experience! Grazie mille!
Stayed a few nights just after Christmas and had a lovely time here... I loved the location of the hotel, it is a little bit away from touristic places though very good connected with vaporetto. We did walk a lot as it is a great way to discover Venice! The hotel is beautiful from outside and inside. Loved the colour palette they used. Very calming and yet very cheerful. If you can book room with water view, do it, you won't regret beautiful sunsets... Comfortable bed, tea/coffee facilities, great cosmetic products in the bathroom made us feel at home. We had a breakfast both days at the hotel and liked their choice of products. It is not big offering but the quality is great. We had a dinner first night as we arrived quite late and it was delicious. Service very friendly both at the restaurant and frond desk! I would love to come back...…
