There are many really good things about this place: - it is in an excellent location about mid-point between San Marco and the Rialto so it was easy to get to everything. It is very close to a canal so if you take a water taxi when you arrive you can be dropped off at the Splendid Hotel which is just a few steps away. - we have travelled a lot and stayed in many places but few have been as clean as this one. Our suite featured all ivory coloured furniture which was mainly in good condition as were the floors, bathroom, and everything else. We liked the modern decor in the traditional setting of the old building. - In an apartment we don’t expect daily things but someone came once a day to deliver more coffee and a few other breakfast things (not a full breakfast but nice to have a few extras). They also took out the trash and, if you are there for a while, they provide a change of towels and bed linens (one refresh during our 1 week stay) - they provided bath robes, slippers, and the suite had a safe as well as AC - the bed was great as was the shower (although it was small it worked well) -The reservation staff are excellent - they were very responsive and helpful even when there was a day without anyone at reception meaning they had to step in and respond to emails to deal with questions and concerns. - Housekeeping staff are very friendly Given all of this, it’s fair to ask why my rating is not 5 stars. There are a few reasons: 1. Too many kitchen basics were missing: For example, there were no tea towels to dry dishes with, no small knife (paring knife size), no tongs or things to making turning hot things over easy, salt but no pepper, etc. I didn’t expect a full kitchen but I did hope to get enough to do some simple, basic cooking. As it was I had to find a kitchen store and pick some of what was missing. 2. The reception staff person seemed to lack some understanding of customer service so while resolved, issues were met with excuses and a sense they were a real inconvenience to respond to. 3. While the two above are easy to address, the biggest issue is harder to overcome: there is no lift (although we wondered if it might be possible to add a small one in the central area of the stairs). The website clearly says there is no lift but I don’t recall being forewarned that an apartment on the 2nd floor requires a climb up 50 steps and one on the 3rd floor is up 67 steps. It’s a very long climb several times a day after walking around Venice for hours. Plus, getting luggage up all those stairs is not easy especially as there was no one to help. 4. The noise level in the apartment was greater than anticipated. It was amazing how loud the footsteps of the people upstairs were and while the entrance to the building is off of a very quiet little street, all of the windows in the apartment faced a busy sidewalk that was noisy at night. So, while this place has some extremely positive features, we won’t be back as while we are fit, that climb up to our suite was just too much especially when we arrived after a long flight with our luggage.…
The apartment was clean and modern looking. Location is good too, not too far from the center. Customer service was great, Deborah sent us all the important information before our arrival. She was very responsive to all our queries. She is really amazing. Thank you Deborah for making our stays in Venice amazing.
We had a wonderful experience in Venice hosted by the fantastico Debra at the San Marco Suite’s who was both welcoming and accommodating. We were spoilt with a free room upgrade, although all the rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard, both stylish and practical. The suites a centrally located within a stones through away from San Marco Square. Mobility may be an issue for some as there are no lifts in this very historical building. We will definitely return to San Marco Suites in the future for a return visit to the beautiful city of Venice. Thank you Debra for making our debut visit to Venice a pleasant memory, grazie mille.
We recently stayed in the San Marco Suite 755 and can’t recommend them more. Before our arrival we were contacted (via WhatsApp) to give us all the information we needed and also directions to the hotel. The apartments are very nicely done, it’s also ideal having a kitchen! Deborah who works on reception was so helpful, I whatsapp’d her throughout our trip to ask for tips or let her know of anything we needed. She really went above and beyond. The TVs in the room don’t have many English channels (or Netflix) but this is an incredibly minor point given we were mainly out exploring the sites of Venice!
We had a 2 room apartment with kitchen and living room in an old typical Venezia building in a small street super centric position. Brand new, very well decorated (nice the contrast between the modern furniture and the antique building and roof) very clean. Totally recommended for family with kids. Walking distance from everywhere.
Brilliant stay at San Marco Suite 755. Everything from our arrival to departure was perfect (thanks to Debra on reception), the two bedroom apartment was great for our family stay in a very modern setting, in the centre of this historic location (5 minute walk to both Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square). The kitchen/lounge/dining area was a great addition, and the bedrooms were spectacular, with separate heating and a/c, as well as TV's and internet in each room. We will be booking this apartment for our next visit.
We spent 4 days in Venice together with my wife in November 2019 and were hosted by San Marco Suite 755 that was really perfect for many reasons. First the location is ideal in the very middle of the old city of Venice that is an incredible city that you will never forget. Then San Marco Suite is top level hotel with charming apartments, spacious, with modern furniture and decorated with great taste. The place is very cocoon and you'll feel like home. In case you have some needs you just call the concierge (Adin) and he will make his best for you. Finally, even if we did not meet with the owner, Massimiliano, we had some nice chats and he will also make that your stay will be a tremendous souvenir. I definitely recommend San Marco Suite for any couples or family looking for high level comfort, best location ever and additional services for a perfect vacation. Grazie mille Adin e Massimiliano. Di sicuro semai torno a Venezia tornero da voi. Un caro saluto. Salvatore.…
We stayed here in these apartments (kitchen, dining room, bathroom and bedroom) that were a 10 minute leisurely walk to St Marks, RiSlto Bridge (where you can catch a 30 mi its speed boat direct to Marco Polo airport for 110 euros or the Aliguna Ferry for 15 euro pp but it takes an hour and there are 3 stops on the way). The apartment was nicely furnished —all new and modern furniture—it had a microwave, stove and fridge as well as heat and A/C. Minor notes—Venice is a very compact city so although we did t hear street noise there was construction going on next door and we did hear hammers starting at 8am. There are no elevators and the lobby receptionist is only there 9a-5pm. We were sent a What’s App text with our entry code to enter the building and the same one to enter the apartment as we arrived after 5p. We were a little concerned Ed about not having front desk staff but access into the building was easy and there is an emergency after hours number provided. Linen / towels are changed only every 3rd day with a 5 day stay but you can request more frequent changes for a fee. Also, there were no elevators and although on arrival, we had to lug our suitcases up 4 flights as the front desk was closed—on check out, an attendant help bring down our luggage. Overall, we were very pleased with the room, space and proximity to all the major attractions of Venice. …
We booked this suite for one night as we were staying in Lido De Jesolo so we could visit more of Venice without travelling to far and we are so happy we did. Such a beautifully suite. Very clean, decor is gorgeous and equipped with everything you need. Location was great just a couple of minutes from St Marks square past all the amazing little shops. We are still here right now and don’t want to check out haha
Deborah was amazing host. Very friendly and professional. I asked her a million questions and she answered them all happily. She organised airport transfers for us too. The apartment has a wow factor. It was super clean and just gorgeous with all the facilities you can think of. Since we were travelling with our two little ones I was unsure about booking this place as does not have many reviews so we did not know what to expect but we ended up taking the risk because of value for money. You will not find this quality of accommodation for this price at this location. Its a minute walk to the St Mark's Square and only a few minutes walk (we found a short cut) to Rialto bridge. Only thing I will say is that there was no heating facility available, and because of the rain at night time it got chilly and we wanted to put the heating on for the little ones (runny noses and sneezes :). Otherwise the apartment is perfect :)…
