We had a wonderful time in Venice and in the Hotel Ad Place. The rooms are cute, soundproof and well equiped. The breakfast was excellent organized and they offer various delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent. There is no doubt that we will come back to this fantastic place!
I found this little gem through thorough research. If you go to Venice you can pay a fortune for a filthy room, with bedbugs, dirty carpets, lousy plumbing, an air condition that doesn't deserve this name, bathrooms with a size if a broom closet, impolite staff and a lousy breakfast (often a croissaint, coffee, jan and juice and that was it) OR you decide to stay at AD Place in Venice. The hotel is a 3 minutes walk from the Vaporetto Stop Giglio (No.1) and the ride from the car parking or the station takes app. 30 minutes. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Campo St.Stefano, La Fenice and San Marco. Close by is a little shop and some very nice bars and restautrants. Friendly staff receives you at the desk (open 24/7) and provided you with all necessary information as well as a map. I had a room on the third floor, staff helped me to carry the liggage upstairs. The room was in a perfect condition. The furniture was functional and there was even a wadrobe in the corner. Lightproof curtains make sure you will have a giod night's sleep. The aircondition worked fine, though I switched it off at night. The bathroom had avery splendid size for Venice, the waterpressure in the shower was good and the water really warm. Shampoo, bodywash, bodylotion and handsanitizers were provided, as well as Kleenex and a good powerful hairdryer. There were plenty of new and clean towels. The breakfast is a mixed style of buffet and service by the staff. You can choose what you'd expect to be on the buffet the next morning by filling iut a form that you lesve at the front desk, providing your room number and the time you'd like to have breakfast (starting at 7:30). There are various warm egg dishes, pancakes, toast, rolls, croissaints, muffins, cereals, yoghurts, jams, honey and juices available, as well as cheese and cold-cuts. I had ordered breakfast for 8 a.m. but woke up quite early and wentvti the breakfast room at 7:30. The extremly friendly lady there really made my day and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with very good Cappuccino. The perfect start into the day. Coffee and various sorts of teas are available in the breakfasteoom for free 24/7. When it was time to leave Venice , the hotel kept my luggage free of charge in a safe place, until I left for the station. All in all it was the perfect stay in Venice and I'll be back for sure.…
The rooms need updating but the staff are wonderful and Kamal looked after us wonderfully, nothing was too much trouble. A great asset to the property, as was the lady at reception and the breakfast staff.
Just returned from staying at the hotel for 4 nights. The hotel has a quirky style which I liked. The rooms were large and well equipped. The location of the hotel was brilliant for accessing all of the sights in Venice. Breakfast was included with a very good choice, and the staff were great and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed for two nights in the hotel ad place in the room "ottobre". Everything (our bedroom, bathroom and the breakfast room) was very clean and the whole staff super friendly and helpfull. Special thanks to Kamal for the offered drinks and the served breakfast on the cozy roof top terrace. The hotel is very close to some main attractions and one of the vaporetta linie 1 boat stops. If you have a room on the fourth floor you should like to climb stairs because there is no lift. Furthermlse, we had a lot of moscitos in our room but that was probably our fault (don't sleep with open windows im venice!).
Really happy with the price I paid for such a quaint hotel in the heart of this amazing city minutes from St. Marks Square. Better still being solo I got a single room (wish more hotels did this) so cheaper than a double and not paying for two breakfasts even if many hotels insist they're 'complimentary'. Hmm. No trace of the awful floods in the city when I stayed. Beautifully decorated in a lovely old building, room small but very nice, love the wallpaper. Breakfast so so no hot stuff. Unfortunately my bathroom door seemed to lock from the inside when I was outside, guess when I closed the door. Told the night guy who just said 'Not possible' sadly so not interested but at least there was another bathroom opposite the room. Same guy I mentioned the floods to mainly out of sympathy but 'No floods' was the response. Fortunately the other staff were lovely, very friendly and would stay here again if a good price when I return to this stunning but sadly hard hit of late city. …
Had a wonderful stay in this lovely boutique hotel. Lovely helpful staff, great breakfast selection and 24/7 coffee available. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. You will definitely enjoy your stay here.bonus being that the hotel is close to all attractions in Venice.
I was alone on this trip to Venice and felt secure, loved my room and loved breakfast in the common area upstairs. The hotel is right on the water with a small but cozy rooftop where I enjoyed a glass of Prosecco.
We chose Ad place for our honeymoon as we were only in Venice for 3 nights and wanted to be fairly central. It's located behind the Fenice and less than 10 minutes walk from St Mark's Square. We upgraded to a deluxe room so that we overlooked the canal, which means that you can watch all the gondolas going past. There's a small roof terrace where we sat and drank Prosecco one night - the hotel price for Prosecco was cheaper than the local restaurants(!) A comfortable room with a great shower - we basically stayed out all day so made the most of breakfast and the really comfortable room. Nice to have a room with a view over the canal, but not essential. We had air conditioning so wasn't important for us to be able to open the windows. But take your ear plugs and eye mask if you're a light sleeper - the rooms are very dark at night, but the curtains are thin and let in the morning light. Overlooking the canal means you get woken up by the canal 'traffic'.…
The location of the hotel is good, it’s very near to a water taxi station and has a access for the boat to drop you off in front of the hotel(however the taxis are not allowed to come in front between 9-6 during the day) Hotel breakfast is lovely, considering the hotel does not have a restaurant. Bed is comfy but room is very small and our ac did not work properly. They had put a fan in front of the AC to blow the colder air to the room. So it was rather hot to sleep, and we visited after summer heat! There is not free water left in the room, no appliances (cotton buds, sewing kit) etc on the bathroom) There is no elevator in the hotel, so it is really uncomfortable to move around with a small baby, you cannot carry the trolley all the way up. Staff is very friendly and helpful! …
