We just returned last week form our trip to Italy, and had a 2 night stay here. It was better then I had even anticipated, and after reading the reviews here, my hopes were already high!

We recently stayed at Antonio's apartment for two nights (June 13-15). It's actually sharing the apartment with him. He lives at one side and you have the room on the other side. The room was huge with a king size bed. The deco was very...More
Myself and my friend stayed here last week.
I had never stayed in a b&b before so didn't know what to expect.
Lots of stairs to our room but we were greeted by Antonio who was lovely.

A spacious room, with your own, private bathroom on the top floor of an old building. This does mean walking up some steep stairs, which could be a hassle with a lot of luggage or if your not very mobile. Large and very comfortable double...More
The room is just perfect with a nice balcony, and Antonio is a perfect host: he would do anything he can to help, giving among others great tips on walks and things to do in town.
Perfect location too, since the station is 10 minutes...More
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Dear Bill,
yes the apartment is on the third floor and there are no elevator as in almost all the city exept the big hotels, I normally help my guests with the luggage welcoming them on the ground floor and taking at least one piece up.
This is a bed and breackfast, so there is no hotel staff here, just me: Antonio the owner.
About the bathroom as stated in the description is just outside the room but shared, with me only since I rent only one room.
regards
antonio
