My wife and I were on our way to Venice to see friends and hear a performance at La Fenice. As we both had never been to the Arena (Scrovegni) Chapel, we decided to spend the night before arriving in Venice in Padua, a short train ride away. The Hotel Grand'Italia is conveniently located directly across from the train station...

Tired furnishings in room and bathroom needed refurbishing. Quality and presentation of breakfast was poor. Compared to the Accor 4 Star hotel we stayed at in Verona, this is a 3 Star hotel at best. Staff were polite and helpful but the hotel needs refurbishing.

Hotel is handy to explore nearby cities as its very near to train station. We visited venice while staying at this hotel. Trains to venice are frequent and fare are decent from padua. The hotel area is convenient as its near to a quite selection of dining restaurant and McD. We even grab some snacks from grocery shop (despar) at...

I visited Hotel Grand Italia during a short business trip in Padova. The hotel is located just in front the main train station, relatively convenient for the city center, as well as for other areas of the city. The neighborhood is simply terrible, especially at night, with a bunch of ugly mugs hanging around. The hotel itself, is just decent......

Since we booked, ,we had the support of the staff. Suggestions about locations for events. polite personnel. Clean Rooms,,,,, (we Had an Executive Suite). The only negative spot is about the location of the hotel, right in front of the railway stations. Local Trams are the right way to visit all the must see monuments

Very convenient hotel to Padova train Station, confortable room, nice breakfast, with fresh fruits, a plenty of pastries and good coffee. I would stay here again. One little thing: A painting job in the hotel premises would be nice.

This hotel is not grand. It is near the railway station and the area is unpleasant. The entrance lobby is not especially pleasant and as far as I could tell there is only one lift for the four floors. The rooms are basic in the extreme and poorly designed. Why put a mirror in a corner near a desk? There...

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, my first impression was, wow, its looks recently updated, renovated and refurbished. We did a group booking with this hotel and the rates were very acceptable to us. Breakfast was included and was fabulous. Breakfast starts at 6:30 am till 10:30 am, plenty of choices and has hot breakfast. Everything in the hotel...

Had four nights here. Comfy clean rooms and good breakfast. Ideal location for the station, buses, trams and taxis, but a good ten minutes walk to the old town. Apart from a McDonalds nearby, no restaurants closer than a twenty minute walk which is ok during daylight, but a bit 'iffy' in the dark.

We chose this hotel because of it's location, right across the street from the train and bus stations. We only had one day in Padua, where we specifically wanted to see the Scrovegni Chapel. The hotel is also very convenient to the tram lines and we used the tram to travel around the town. Our room was clean and comfortable....
