I stayed TEN DAYS at this hotel. They offered nice continental breakfast daily, and very clean and spacious room. Very convenient location just around the corner from historic Prato della Valle, church of Saint Anthony, with tram and bus connections. Great bandwidth on the FREE Wi-Fi. This is small locale, but nice management.
Probably a bit of an underrated venue looking at previous reviews. We stayed there due it being close to Railway. We were only going to Milan for one afternoon to see Last Supper. Hotel is two minutes walk to station and ample hotel parking is available in Railway carpark at reasonable price. Was very good value and suited our purpose well as the train trip to Milan is around 35 mins on fast train. Room was quiet due to double glazing but could have been noisy if windows opened. Room is air conditioned for this purpose. Breakfast was passable and could have done with a little more replenishment but for the price and position we were generally very satisfied with this hotel for a short stay such as ours.
I felt very welcome in this family-run hotel and will stay again. They are extremely hospitable and warm-hearted people. The son speaks good English and will answer all your questions. My only quibble is with the minimal breakfast (and it's served at the reception desk!). I also found the hotel reluctant to turn on the AC beyond a certain pont, so I didn't sleep too well in muggy June. In terms of location, you'll have to take a bus (right outside the hotel) to get to the historic center and the train station. It's not really a problem unless you're in a hurry. One of Padova's two major attractions is the Basilica of St. Anthony and you can walk there. The other--the Scrovegni Chapel--is walking distance from the railway station, so you'll need a bus from the hotel. The chapel is in the same league as the Sistine Chapel because of Giotto's extraordinary frescoes. You can only stay inside for 20 min. at a time which is woefully inadequate. I bought three tickets and stayed for an hour (and it still wasn't enough for me, the art-lover!)…
Very clean rooms, welcoming and outstanding service, not far from centre in a slient area. It is a family - owned hotel. Reasonable pricing, with light breakfast included. Visited hotel May 2012, from Riga, Latvia.
