#1 of 44 hotels in Courmayeur
Travellers' Choice
Auberge de la Maison is a charming hotel in the centre of Entreves, a rustic hamlet on the outskirts of Courmayeur, one of the most delightful little towns in the Alps. Entreves is a picturesque collection of houses built around the old palace which was the official residence of the nobility which once reigned over Courmayeur.Auberge de la Maison is situated in a spectacular valley at the foot of Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco), a unique location among jagged peaks, glaciers and huge rock formations, where colours range from the blue-green ice of the glaciers to the cobalt sky and the grey-brown of the rock faces.

We were driving home to the UK from Italy and wanted to find a nice hotel for a few days as close to the Mont Blanc tunnel as possible to allow us to drive non stop through France and avoid quarantining. We never thought we would find a gem like the Auberge. This hotel is really faultess, from the welcome to the very impressive rooms, views, location, restaurant, attention to every detail, highly trained staff, nice little spa.....this hotel has it all. Theres always usually a few things you dont like about hotels, but you would be hard pushed to fault the Auberge. Alessandra has done an amazing job turning this hotel into a world class luxury boutique ski and summer retreat. The staff are so good, the log fires roar and the overall atmoshere is perfect. The breakfast buffet is amazing and they have done such a good job with the Covid restrictions to still make it amazing. The dinner menu is fantastic and we cannot wait to return. I highly reccomend this hotel to anyone.

There is no other way to describe our 2 nights here. First of all thanks to the owner (we had a brief chat about our dogs) and all the staff for being so kind and helpful, they really did the extra mile for us( they also parked the car for us, and there is a free shuttle to Courmayeur). The room was absolutely perfect, from the covid measures to the hygiene in general and the beauty of our room. The room had wooden details and everything you may need, also a blanket, some tips to do, etc etc. The breakfast was also well done, with the best covid measures I have seen. And it was really good also, with cured meats, cheeses, fantastic omelettes, and lots of sweets. Amazing staying, in every way. I'll never forget these 2 days.

Beautiful place, can’t wait to return. The hotel is Beautifully furnished. Rooms are also lovely. Very Comfortable bed. Fabulous view. We were too tired to go out for dinner. The dining room is beautiful. Dinner was delicious. The staff are exceptionally helpful. Only one problem; bedrooms overlooking the church are very noisy at night. The church bells ring every 30 minutes , very loudly. Also deliveries started to the entrance underneath our balcony at 4.45am, we were awoken again to the sound of truck reversing. However, Highly recommended

It was our second time in the hotel and we enjoyed it every bit as the last time. Friendly and professional staff, excellent COVID measures and cosy interior. Lots of hikes in the neigbourhoud and that is what we came for.

We spent four nights just this past end of January, and they were most pleasurable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was large and of excellent quality. The lobby is interesting and engaging, and there are lots of nooks to check out. The bar is well stocked, and we enjoyed the happy hour goodies. We ate dinner in their restaurant two nights, those separated by a third. On settling in to dinner the second night, they surprised the sh-t out of us by bringing two glasses and the third-of-a-bottle of the wine we ordered with dinner the first night. They corked it and held it and presented back in the humblest of manner. This is exemplary of the fine treatment provided by Auberge. And for this second meal my wife and I had the exact same selections, only we ate the other's initial choice. The spa was another fantastic benefit, and we enjoyed it three of our days; it was just what we needed after lots of outside, fresh-air activity. The breakfast was a bit on the ordinary side, but everything else was above ordinary or expectation. And enjoy the view of Monto Bianco while you're there. Great visit.
