La Terrazza is not easy to review, so I hope to render a clearer picture of it to help others decide. It is not a hotel, it is a flat with three rooms that are let. It is in every sense of the word(s) a B&B. One of the rooms, the largest, has an ensuite bathroom which was created inside the room. This room is relatively spacious by Italian standards, and the one I'd recommend you request. The other rooms each have their own bathroom (not communal as someone said) that they are outside and not inside the room. This may be a deal breaker for some people, as it would have been for my husband, but fortunately we were put in the large room, which looks out on a lovely terrace. It also costs slightly more, but the prices were very reasonable. For Italians, the lack of a bidet may be problematic. The flat itself, had a very homey feel, and was decorated in a quirky, but not unpleasant way. You are basically occupying a room in someone's flat. This is not a place you want to go if you are planning a vacation that includes even moderately vocal sexual activity. Although the place is just outside the train station, it is not the trains that may annoy you, but the noise from other people in the building. The reviewers who complained about the noise should have chosen an isolation cell in an institution because the noise level was that of any large building in a city. Frankly, given the location, and some of the reviews, I expected worse. At night it is silent. The bed was comfortable, not lumpy as someone else said, with a memory foam pillow and a traditional feather pillow. I dread going to hotels for fear of uncomfortable beds, and I slept well here. The first morning the breakfast was not really our preference, which our host noticed and remedied the very next day without hesitation. The hosts were very attentive, and friendly but never invasive. If you like that personal, human aspect in a hotel, look no further. I had asked for a glass of water because I did not have any in my room. The water was provided, of course, but then when I came back that evening, there was a plastic bag tied to my door with a half liter bottle of water. For me, kindness is good business. The room also does not have a television. I couldn't have cared less, but some people may feel that that is a necessity during a stay away from home. Everything was very neat, clean and comfortable. I felt satisfied with my choice, though this is an in and out sort of place. It is not a resort to while away a week. I gave it a rating of excellent, but that was based on very personal preferences, the kindness of the hosts, the homeyness, and my own necessities in Turin.…
