An excellent hotel located in the heart of Milan. Even though it is next to Duomo, it is still found on a very quiet street. The rooms were great and the breakfast is one of the best breakfasts I have had in hotels: a huge array of options to choose from, that can cater anyone’s needs! The staff was extremely professional, very helpful to accommodate you. Definitely recommend it!!!
Returned to the hotel after a few years and it's still excellent. It's affordable and the value remains good, while service is still great. The rooms are still in good shape a few years on. I would recommend this.
I am so impressed, this hotel exceeded our expectations, location, services, rooms and value of money. Thank you so much I am so grateful. Just in spot and everything is around you. Staff are very friendly and beds are so comfortable
Super comfortable bed in a spacious room, Nespresso machine in the room, spacious bathroom. Super trendy neo-mid century modern design elements, great location adjacent to the Duomo and the Galleria. Breakfast service was great and the staff were especially kind and gracious. It definitely earns its high ranking here.
When traveling for pleasure in a big city, location is key. But all too often, the best locations were long ago snapped up by fancy grand hotels with steep prices - especially in older cities in Europe. Room Mate Giulia is a fabulous exception! Tucked around the corner from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and just through an arch to the Duomo plaza, you could not find a better location if you tried! If a hotel’s location is key, the concierge/front desk staff are the hands that unlock the doors to magic! The front desk - most especially Andrew - went above and beyond to help us find fun restaurants, ensure our parking tariffs were paid properly, and help us negotiate everything. They were all so welcoming even on New Years Eve! In this day and age, when staffing issues are a global phenomenon, Room Mate Giulia retains the best! The rooms were comfortable and our junior suite was perfect. Don’t look for heavy wood decor here. Instead find useful fittings that meet high marks for both form and function. We didn’t have time to use the breakfast, but the lobby bar was convivial and a lively living room for a Campari spritz. Don’t bother looking elsewhere. Room Mate Giulia is fabulous!…
My husband, two teens and I stayed here for one night in December. The hotel could not be more perfectly located for those wishing to be near the Duomo, Galleria and Christmas markets. The service was friendly and the room was very spacious and well-appointed, having everything we needed. The only negative for us was the noise. Starting around 5:00 am, it sounded like hundreds of glass bottles were being dumped in the street outside our window. The noise lasted until we had to get up for our flight, making it impossible to sleep. Perhaps a room on the opposite side of the hotel would have been quieter, or perhaps the noise is restricted to a certain day of the week (this was a Friday morning).
This hotel was honestly one of the best city hotels I have ever stayed in! Staff were incredible, and went out of their way to help located a lost bag at the airport which took hours! Also to note - the breakfast is delicious and varied. It's also located in the most amazing spot in Milan - close to all the main attractions i.e. Duomo cathedral. Can't recommend this hotel enough, with clean rooms - it really was a highlight during our family reunion.
Had a long weekend in the truly beautiful city of Milan, a much delayed celebration of my birthday. This hotel was simply fantastic. We were greeted by staff on reception who were so welcoming and friendly. And this warm welcome and friendliness continued throughout the weekend from everyone, including the wonderful cleaning staff and the lovely staff who provided breakfast. The hotel itself is stylish and of exceptionally high quality. Probably among one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It felt like a real treat to stay here...close to the Duomo but on a quaint and quiet side street away from the crowds. Materially the hotel is incredible but the service from staff really is the icing on the cake. When we checked out we felt like we were saying farewell to good friends. We cannot wait to return. A huge thank you to everyone in the hotel who made us feel so welcome, showed so much kindness and made this a weekend to remember. We fell in love with Milan. Steve x…
My partner spent four days at Room Mate Giulia and we have not stopped talking about it since. This is a quality hotel and the staff are so friendly and relaxed. Our deluxe room was exactly that, comfortable and spacious and a fabulous bathroom that was wonderfully warm. The breakfast was amazing in the chilled breakfast room, where nothing was too much trouble for the staff. This is a stylish hotel with some fantastic touches, complimentary water replenished daily, a kettle and coffee machine with plenty of choice, a great view of nearby historic buildings, and quiet and comfortable. We can't rate the hotel or the team that work there highly enough, the hotel really was a great part of our break. We really hope to stay again soon and visit this amazing city where we only scratched the surface in four days.…
Very conveniently located. So near to Milan Duomo and shopping. The hotel allowed us to leave our large luggages with them while we travel to Lake Como. The front desk and concierge are very helpful.
