Wanted to spend a night near Milan station as I had to catch a flight from Malpensa next day morning. Was a fantastic place to stay and meet many people from different countries. Team there took great care right from the checkin. Place had different zones where all the different kind of activities were on including board games , music , bar, etc. Apart from the bunk bed format they even have private rooms.
Basic (youth) hostel close to Central railway station Very nice staff making you feel at home. Nice hostel rooms with bathroom and good quality beds. Simple breakfast but considering it’s a hostel it was Ok! Won’t hesitate to return next time! Other guests were very nice and was cool to meet them. I also spend one night in the other hostel, Ostello Bello, but I preferred Bello Grande.
My stay at Ostello Bello Grande is one of my favorite hostel experiences. Everyone there was so helpful and sweet especially Dodo, Valentina, Flor, Tommy, Romeo, and every other staff member I met! The pub crawl was so much fun and it gave everyone a chance to get to know each other while having fun! My suitcase broke the morning I was packing up to leave and Dodo was sweet enough to find me a replacement suitcase which completely saved the rest of my trip. I’m so grateful and I’ll definitely return when I’m in Milan.
Was dead tired and exhausted from a long trip and arrived to this place in Milan to sleep. Surprisingly calm sleeping. Furthermore, big kudos to the guy with glasses in reception who works tirelessly to make guests welcomed and tries to accommodate as much as possible even when I have a small medical requirement.
There is really not much to say; the location is excellent, about 2 minutes from the central station, the room (shared in my case) was nice and clean... Very good cost/quality relation. The breakfast was varied, and the staff was polite, friendly and nice.
The location was perfect: 2 minute walk to the centrale station; 5 minute walk from the coaches that take you to and from the airport. A post office nearby and many restuarants to choose from. The room was lovely with bunk beds that had warm and comfortable bedding, USB outlets right beside each bed and a bedside light. The ensuite was sufficient with a very hot shower alongside a toilet and bidet. The room also had its own little balcony decorated with beautiful flowers and such which enhanced the view of the street that much more. The shared spaces were also incredible. The rooftop had a gorgeous view, especially at sunset and we met a lot of people and made a lot of friends there. There's a shared kitchen with free food so you can make your own dishes and we made a lot of friends there too. Downstairs the bar and seating area was always full of life. The breakfast included gave us more opportunity to talk to people and the spread had croissants and cereals and such. At night there was always something going on downstairs we joined in on the beer pong and the karaoke night; since we were given free drink passes upon arrival that just made our nights even better. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we wanted to stay at the Lake Como Ostello Bello for one of our nights and we just asked the front desk and they were able to sort it out in an hour with no hassle and no extra charge or anything!…
The overall social vibe of the place is nice. There are some friendly people to talk to in the common area and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was good and free drinks was nice. However, I feel like this place is very pricey for what it is. I upgraded my room to a single room for $108 per night but I didn't realize what I got myself into. The room is fine but the mattress seem to have a dent in the middle from been slept on for too long. The bathroom is old and run down looking. The shower is so small (and I'm a very small person) I kept hitting the walls with my arms while washing my hair. Even in the separate single room you can hear people constantly slamming the doors, laughing and yelling at each other's name in the hallway all hours of the night. There was a loud group next to me one day and I think maybe they were moving around the furniture...it was like metal rods slamming against my wall. I had to move my bed to the other side of the room and put on my ear plugs to minimize the noise. I asked them kindly to keep quiet but all I got is "NO ENGLISH" and they shut the door at my face. I asked one of the reception guy to take care of it, and he said "What do you want me to do?" I was about to lose my shxt at that moment. Thankfully, a lady speaks French came up and talk to them and they lowered their voice. I stayed at plenty of hostels before, but this was kinda crazy.…
Amazing location and very friendly staff. Bunk bed was surprisingly comfortable and the shower was great!! Has everything you need in a hostel. 4 stars because one night I could hear the DJ loudly from the room, but it did quieten down after about 23.00.
I had a wonderful experience!! The staff is superb and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and I met a lot of nice people there. Also, the location of the hostel is perfect because is very close to the central station so it´s very easy for you to go anywhere.
High class hostel, fun for group of young people, and suitable for older travelers. Best staffs ever.a bit expensive for a hostel, but they are just beside the train station. If you have an early start, best place to be, good breakfast too Daniel
