We had booked a room at this hotel which was a relatively expensive hotel room near Milan Train station through booking.com. When we arrived, this expensive room was a dump: dark, old, noisy (open windows on main thoroughfare). The "air conditioning" was a small fan on a chair. There was no way we could sleep with noise and heat. We...

I needed to stay overnight in Milan, and for this, Hotel Central Station is very good. However, if you get a room from the street-side, like I did, prepare not to be able to sleep much! Hotel is clean, could be more than ok without the traffic noise. Their reserving policy is, that you must pay your room before arriving.

L'hotel Central Station ha risolto un problema verificatosi non per causa loro, restituendo parte del prezzo della camera. Grandissima correttezza dimostrata dalla direzione. The hotel has solved a problem that was not caused by them. They sent back part of the charge of the room. They have proved to be extremely honest and customer friendly.

If you have an early AM train ride/flight and are just looking for a place to crash, this is the spot for you. The bathrooms are very nice and clean (with plenty of hot water), as are the rooms, and the location can't be beat (50 meters from the train station), but that's about it. I barely slept while staying...

I stayed here on two occasions while travelling on elsewhere. It is very close to the train station and so it was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, it was extremely noisy at night time. As a result, I got about 10 minutes sleep due to the shouting outside my window and passing squad cars and ambulances throughout the night. I've stayed in...

Only picked this hotel for a 2 night's stay due to the convenience factor of being really near the Centrale Station as I had an early train. Other than that, the hotel really doesn't have much to offer - its purely no frills and provides just the basic needs with satisfactory service. It is clearly targeted as accommodation for transit...

This hotel is ideally located for the station in Milan; it's main selling point. I used it purely to avoid having to lug a heavy bag around the city although I did end up staying two nights so it cannot have been too terrible. My room was not overlooking the road so I had less of a problem with noise...

The poor rating is for the incredible noise level that continued until about 3am. The rooms (we had two rooms for two couples) were right above a bar that closed at about 10:30pm. The patrons then stood in groups and yelled at each other for 3 hours. A main road passes the hotel and was in constant use by police...

Due to the absolutely close proximity to central railway station in Milano (about 200m) and the fair prices, I would recommend the sleeping overnight for one of the following 3 purposes: - when one needs the transfer to the airports Malpensa and Bergamo - to catch a train in time - good anthropological experience And nothing else. It is indeed...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
