I booked this hotel for a second time based on an excellent value stay one year ago. The room we were given - no 7 - was even better value than the one we had previously. It's large balcony was suffused with the exquisite perfume of honeysuckle and wisteria from the garden below ...

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely hotel. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast of cereal, bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, juice, milk and coffee was plentiful. The hotel is on a quiet street very near the station and other than the walls being a little thin, the stay was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel Charly is a perfect one night stop in Milan. Services are simple, hotel is incredibly clean (it seems that someone is always cleaning up) and rooms are quiet and nice. Nothing over the top - a simple, very good place to stay. Good breakfast and excellent staff. Warmly recommended.

Very nice rooms, nice staff, not far from the metro station and not that expensive as the rest of the hotel's in Milano. Breakfast is alright but not that Italian as as expected. It's the poorest site of my stay but cofee was good :) the entrance is a bit annoying because you have to wait everytime untill someone will...

Simple hotel close to train station and a short walk from Duomo. Neighborhood does look very nice but seemed to be safe when we were returning in the dark. Room is simply furnished but requires some critical repair. Price is high now probably due to Expo. Simple breakfast included.

Small 2 star hotel. Walking distance from Milano Centrale railway station. Arrived off the street with heavy suitcase, without a booking. Friendly staff found me a ground floor room. Breakfast next morning in a beautiful garden; one staff member solely devoted to making whatever coffee you can think of. Tea served instead with grace and kindness - nothing too much...

Just stayed two nights, hotel is on a quiet street, so no noise considering you are in the middle of Milan. Nice couple of restaurants around the corners from the hotel, but Google their location before you venture out, as all the streets look the same, so it is easy to get confused. Just 10 mins walk from the station,...

It was OK - nothing special, handy for Centrale and the metro but not a short walk into the centre. We had a one night stopover en route to Verona, and it was fine, for that, not sure I would have wanted to stay longer.

This little hotel was very sweet on pictures, and when we visited it. I has a nice location, close to the central station and not far from the center itself. 10 minutes walk from Milan shops, and 2 minutes from nearest tube station. It was clean, with friendly staff and nice breakfast. The thing I liked the most was the...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
