This hotel has wonderful staff, but it is a dark and small property. I think it is trying too hard to be hip, and the room we had was small even though it was a corner room overlooking the garden. The garden, by the way, is nothing special. Breakfast was ok, dinner was good one night when we ate there....

Our two nights in the Bulgari hotel were a generous gift. The hotel was luxurious and wonderfully designed. Clearly aimed at the wealthy traveller - the service was superb. The zip on my wife's dress broke 30 minutes before we were due at the opera (at La Scala - awesome!). Within moments a member of staff was running (actually running)...

The hotel is secluded within the city of Milan, you won't walk past it unless you are staying there. It's a nice hidden gem within the busy city and very close to the tourist zone, it will take you 5 minutes to walk to the Cathedral. A very hip hotel with all the modern luxuries you will need for your...

The central location of this beautiful, exclusive boutique hotel is very comfortable. The hotel has a very hi style decoration, modern style and best atmosphere, warm and comfortable. My room was very nice and elegant, good atmosphere, amazing garden view, all the facilities are arranged in a very comfortable consideration. The spa is beautiful, the swimming pool is super, nice...

A hotel of unusually high quality, luxurious, excellent in attention to detail, special in the amazingly personal though professional way you are treated by the staff; very good location for shopping. Only negative is the somewhat "dark" or "heavy" interior" in certain areas ie bar, restaurant. And I have had much better quality breakfasts. It is an expensive establishment, so...

Blugari invokes an image and the hotel does not fail in presenting that. Glamorous but unprententious, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel bar is wonderful and the happy hour treats are delicious (and nearly endless!) Dinner in the courtyard was wonderful. A great location and as a bonus - the most luxuriously scented hotel in the world! (those Bulgari...

During my trip in Italy I had stayed two nights at Bulgari Milano. The location is very good, becouse it's in the center of Milan, next to Via Montenapoleone and very good to shopping... The hotel is loxorious but a little bit small. The spa and the swimming pool are the smallest i've ever seen. The climate control didn't work...

I review the bar only. It is a beautiful garden in the earth of the fashion district of Milano, we spent an unforgettable evening there thanks to the courtesy of the crew, the beauty of the garden itself that is kept perfectly, the music that was played in background, the extreme intimacy that we felt while sitting relaxed amid the...

This hotel is very stylish as everyone talked about. Staff there were friendly and helpful. However I m not sure if they re trained too well. You have to tell them at least twice before things get done. And of course, you have to get used to 'Italian time' where 5 min means actually 20 min.. If you are not...

Yes, the room rates are a bit too expensive as others say but prices are comparable to other 5-star hotels in the area. Rooms are new, clean, and modern with a simple/minimalistic decor. Their closet space can be improved as I found the use of space to be limited and rather wasteful. The garden is a little oasis offering a...

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
