We stayed at Andreola Hotel on our visit to Milan in March. The hotel is very convenient to Milano Centrale station being within 2 blocks. The room was well apportioned and comfortable. The included breakfast was great - it included a very large variety of baked goods, cereals, yogurts, fruit, eggs, and meat. The hotel also organized our transfer to...

This is a great hotel. The check in was so easy even though we were early. The room was very luxurious for the price. Lovely breakfast and great staff. Only stayed a night but used the luggage room after check out, very efficient.

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was pretty quiet, probably due to the time of year. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, with good sized bathroom and a decent shower. The hotel had an atmosphere of old world charm, and was furnished accordingly. The location is perfect for public transport. Milan Centrale Station is less...

Truly amazing all round 5 stars hotel in my opinion the staff are The for front of any business especially in the service industry. At the Andreola hotel the staff simply did their job well. A business trip for four nights stay costing £95 euro for the first night rest From £85. Good breakfast included consists of pastry fresh fruit...

Stayed here, and thought on arrival Wow, great location. Once inside it starts to become apparent that location isn't everything. Morning one - no hot water, checked with reception and told "yep there is a problem today", no apology offered. The breakfast is continental style, some soggy scrambled egg, or the tiniest sausage in the world, cereals, fruit, cakes or...

When booking this hotel I liked the fact it was close to the train station for easy access to and from the airport. Also close to a hop on hop off bus stand. Unfortunately that was the highlight of this hotel. While the rooms were clean and beds firm the decor was out dated. The breakfast while included was very...

I can't say enough about the perfect location. Literally two blocks from Milan Centrale!!! Hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. One guy was not super nice, but we just didn't talk to him a second time, so it was no bother. The rooms are a little old and need to be updated. Also a little small....BUT the price was...

Turn left out of Milan Central station, only five minutes walk. Decoration looks slightly dated but pleasant welcome and clean and tidy. Less expensive than many other local hotels and excellent restaurant on sixth floor.

The hotel is very well located: it's near Milano Centrale train station, there are many groceries nearby and also a restaurant in the same building. The rooms are quite spacious, cosy and clean. The breakfast is mouth-watering, full of simple but delicious options of the Italian cuisine. The only negative point is that the temperature of the water varies a...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Andreola Central is one of the many historical 4-star hotels in Milan that opened at the same time the Central train station moved to its current location, originally behind the Spanish walls (currently Piazza della Repubblica). The hotel is located in Via Scarlatti, an extension to the Central train station's Galleria delle Carrozze which ends in Corso Bueonos Aires. Over the long and venerable years since its establishment, many VIPs have patronized the hotel: Fausto Coppi, the bicycle champion, prize-winning boxer Primo Carnera and Italian soccer stars during the sixties when the first player contracts were negotiated. ... more   less
