Good hotel very handily situated for all of the main shops and sights in central Milan. Staff were very polite and attentive. Breakfast was buffet style with more than enough choices both hot and cold. Room was comfortable but could do with an update, the whole hotel having a 70's feel about it. Would say there again.

Our group of 4 stayed in 2 twin rooms in this hotel in September 2011. Average rate per night for peak season (F1 GP weekend) was €200 per night per room which for this great location is not unreasonable. Parking was extra. However, for a 4* hotel and that sort of money in Milan I would expect wireless internet in... More

This hotel is not much to look at from the outside, or the lobby for that matter (the word "modest" comes to mind) but it met all of major requirements and then some. First, as many reviewers note, it has a wonderful location. Even if you aren't into shopping or interested in touring the Duomo, the neighborhood is full of... More

When your room air conditioner malfunctions during the night, you complain to the director, who, in this case, was Francesco Ponessa, an outstanding administrator. He ordered immediate repair, assured us of a different room if repair unsatisfactory and provided the most elegant and enjoyable dinner we ever had in a half century of travel. francesco

It's a real 4-star service in a building that is far from what you're expecting. Staff is doing its best, but walls need renovation. Building is classical early 70's style - glass&concrete, nothing to say more. It is reflected in price - about a half of normal price for 4-star hotel. But if you use this hotel just to sleep... I only stayed there for 1 day but it was well worth it. The hotel was super clean which i am extremely particular about. The location was few minutes away from the ever crowded Duomo Cathedral. My motive of being there was to see the Cathedral and do some shopping, as i was on a tight schedule. Not much i... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
