My wife and I booked this hotel as part of a flight/hotel package, so the actual cost of the room alone, is unknown. However, the price I paid for both was (IMHO) very reasonable indeed, £230 per person for a scheduled B.A. flight from Heathrow and three nights at the Grand Hotel Verdi. The hotel is within walking distance of...

I booked this hotel for a party of 11 (hen weekend!) as a result of the reviews posted on this site and was not disappointed. Getting there: we found flights on sale with jet2.com for about £60 per person. For that price we couldn't complain about the fact we flew into Bergamo airport, rather than the one nearer to the...

I booked this hotel as a surprise short-break for my husbands birthday & we were not disappointed in any way, the reviews on the site were completely accurate. The hotel is well decorated / furnished (theatre themed) & is a nice 25 minute walk to the cathedral, passing through the Brera area of Milan (north of the cathedral) - don't...

My wife and I were on a business trip to see an exhibition in Milan and judging by the other reviews of this hotel we were impressed. We stayed in a suite which was very large and comfortable. We were also impressed by the very helpful staff. The hotel can offer car parking at 16 euro per day and is...

I chose the Grand Hotel Verdi based on all the good reviews it was getting on TripAdvisor. My boyfriend and I were in Milan for the weekend and we didn't want to spend too much money on accommodation and Grand Hotel Verdi turned out to be perfect! It's not too far off from the Central Train Station; we walked to...

As I travel very often to Milan for work, I was looking for a hotel that would provide me with all of the necessary tools for my business trips at excellent value for money. A perfectly located hotel for a visit to Milan and the surrounding area. The hotel is not right in the centre but is very near two tube stops on different lines and within easy reach of all the sites. Rooms are a good size with a nice bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The airco is good and the road noise...

The Grand Hotel Verdi was wonderful! Don’t judge the outside or carpet. July 15 & 16 By far the best breakfast in all our Italy travels! The beds and rooms were big and spacious. Baths were excellent as well. Good mini bar in rooms. The location is close to subway and train station is a easy walk with luggage. Luca,...

The Grand Verdi Hotel is located right in the business area of Milan and was within walking distance of the central railway station. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel - you could also take the metro from the station. The metro stop is about two blocks from the hotel. The room was excellent - it...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
