the hotel was very clean and rooms adequate though on the smallish side. The location to the sights was great and staff friendly and helpful. New shuttle service to Malpensa was an added bonus. 73 euros one way, may have been a little pricey but with luggage and early am departure was very nice.

For those wanting to see the highlights of Milan on foot, the Hotel Zurigo is in a great location. It is just a few blocks from the cathedral and the galleria. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Also, the desk staff was very helpful.

Hotel Zurigo was a good, mid- priced hotel located within walking distance of the Duomo and the Galleria Emanuel. Rooms were a little dark but very clean with nice wood floors. Bathrooms were great, and the continental breakfast was good too.

Stayed 2 nights here and was impressed at the quality of the room, huge marble bathroom with full bath, and excellent buffet breakfast. It was well placed for sight seeing on foot- 10 mins to the Duomo- or by Metro as near a station. The reception staff were not very friendly, but they did recommend a good nearby trattoria, and answered all our...

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
