I travel almost every week for business and certainly have had my share of "nice"hotels. Having been to milan on vacation once years again and again many times for work, I knew to be near the Duomo. This hotel had a very adequate breakfast, clean rooms and helpful staff. No other Americans there interestingly. It's right in the area you...

Location is pretty good: near the Duomo cathedral and metro is 100 m. Via Torino is next street, so Ambrosiana gallery too. I chose spacious room for three members in our family and it was right that! The hotel staff, breakfast and a room were great! The price was rather high. The only poor was that there was no tea-tray...

I stayed in this hotel for third time and its always the option for me because its really in the center. Their breakfast is good but it would be better if it would have more veggies to eat. They could add some beers in their mini bars. The staff is very friendly. I like staying here every time.

I just stayed at Hotel Zurigo for 3 nights. This hotel has several advantages, most notably its staff. I arrived from the airport at 8am, and I was exhausted. I asked if I could have early entry into my room-and that I was ok paying for an extra nights stay (about 150 euros), as I needed the sleep for later...

Staff are very professional and funny, upbeat. Location is very good - it's a short walk to the main city centre (the Duomo) and shopping district. If you're travelling by transit, there's tram lines and a subway station close by, as well as a city bike share rack outside. The free breakfast had quite a wide array of foods -...

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
