An average hotel that I would only rated 3 stars. An old hotel which was renovated in past years. Walking to Central Station is a bit far away and if you have luggage, you'd better take taxi. My room is facing the tramway and so a bit noisy. Toilet seat is extremely high, even for an average height person. Bedroom... More

Friendly staff, simple checkin with no hassles. Room clean but smelled poorly (this didnt improve with time). Uncomfortable linen with only a very itchy wool blanket. Clean bathroom, however shower water only lukewarm - probably the biggest disappointment of the hotel. We found the location walkable to attractions, but certainly not close (quite convenient for Milano Centrale station though).

Positives are that hotel is clean and room sizes are good. It is not as central as i hoped and needed subways to get to attractions. It is quite grand and they work to maintain this grandure. Negatives, arrived in dark and given room. Next morning after sleeping with curtains open, builders 20 feet away working in hotel were looking... More

My room was clean and tidy, quiet , staff polite, reception very helpful bearing in mind that i can't speak Italian . The breakfast was an enjoyable buffet The hotel is well placed walking distance to the railway station and the old town is just 25 mins if you walk or 5 mins on metro

Visited Milan with my mother and we both really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything was just great, the room was nice and comfortable, good breakfast (with great staff!), fantastic location near the train station on a side street within an easy walking distance to all the sights and shopping. Checking in and out was quick and easy. Also,... More

Very good hotel. Rooms comfortable, roomy and not at all noisy. Staff did what we needed but did not go out of their way to be friendly. Breakfast was very good - decent choice, some nice cakes and some hot stuff too - scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage bits etc. Location was a good 25 mins walk from the Doumo... More

Arrived at desk to discover I had unfortunately made an error with reservation! I had booked for a date later in October, Jonni and Laura could not have been more sympathetic and understanding! There kindness and management of a difficult situation was wonderful, I truly feel they went " that extra mile for the customer" Having established our predicament "Jonni... More

This hotel is ideally located close to Central station; less than a 10 minute walk. There are obviously taxis or trams, which you can take if you can't manage the walk. The hotel itself is well maintained. The service was good throughout our stay; the staff on reception were helpful and professional. They recommended a great restaurant that was just... More

Marconi was a good choice to book in Milano as it is really centrally located and the value is acceptable as the rate is usually fair. It is clean and well located close to the railway station and within walking distance from UniCredit modern area. Doumu and shopping streets aren't far as they are about 2 KM from the hotel.... Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

Room safe was broken, staff helpful but unable to repair, battery operated so problems when battery goes flat. But very clean. Big, nice ensuite.”
