A mid- level hotel located in a "hotel street" very close to the main railway station where also the airport shuttle buses end/start from. Convenient for rail travellers. Customers in cars seemed to have some hassles finding street parking since this is inner city Milano. Modern style hotel, clean room, a little on the smallish side. Bed deserves better madrass....

The hotel lies in a very good location because it is reachable by foot in 2 mins. from Milan Central Station and offers an affordable price, however apart from that there are no other points of merit. The rooms are unbelievably small, so small that you cannot even walk around the bed and it's a challenge to enter with your...

The hotel is just five minutes walk from the Milan main train station, one minutes walk to MacDonald and small room but for me is fine, I just for sleep. Clean and have basic equipment in the room. Basic Breakfast but is fine. If you just for transist or shopping trip, this hotel is best choice.

Just stayed at the Idea hotel. How is that for an Idea? There are no mirrors in the rooms. Yes, you got it , no mirrors. After searching for a mirror behind every door and noticing how much empty wall space is available I called reception and was informed that yes, they are aware of the problem but, the architect...

Good location in an area full of hotels. Modern looking hotel. One of the ladies at the reception is great, very friendly, polite and eager to help you. The rooms are small but very well done in white color and modern.

We were hugely disappointed with this hotel. We felt it was overpriced for the tiny room, with a bathroom that can only be described as a tin. The walls are paper thin, the bed is tiny and wifi cost 7 euros for 24 hours. There was a constant 'hum' all night which may have been the hotel ventilation system, whatever...

I've been travelling to Milan for 7 years to watch AC Milan and have stayed in over 25 different hotels. I just wish I'd found the Idea Hotel earlier. Price was good value, the decor throughout the hotel is modern and clean, and the rooms are lovely. For the price that I paid this is definitely the best budget hotel...

We were sitting in the hotel lobby on a sofa 5 ft across the receptionist . Someone walked inside the lobby and picked up my friends purse which was right next to her. Hotel had no cctv camera or guard . Besides they were most unhelpful and claimed they have no control on who walks in and out or what...

I arrived in to central station late at night and because I couldn't find a cab I had to walk with my cases in the rain through some dodgy parts of Milan so this might have tainted my first impressions. I expect this hotel could be rented by the hour. Yes the rooms are new and clean but in a...

Ok, my first impact with concierge was brusk but afterwards very accommodating. You need something, you get service rapidly. I liked that, same regarding taxis, they suggested calling only when you need it or you get tapped for an extra chunk of change. Good advice. Helpful. Room was quiet and clean. Too bad it is so small but it works....

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
