Staff is very polite and helpful But our room was full of mosquitos. After killing about a dozen we stopped by the front desk to see if they could do something about this situation.aware They told us that they are aware of tge problem and that they would spray the room and put some kind of electronic device that kills mosquitos. Not exactly a great solution but whatever. We go back and still mosquitos. Room was adequate at best
Been two times this hotel travelling to Milan to perform. The hotel complete all my expectations, the timing for cleaning, front desk services, and the hotel's dynamic. Very clean and the staff very kind.
I chose this hotel for a two night stay as the location worked for me and it is close to the Navigli neighbourhood, which is a great area for dinner and drinks. Milan isn’t a massive city, so walking to the central areas from the hotel is quite possible, but those visiting for a quick weekend break may want a hotel that is closer to the Duomo area. The welcome at the hotel was very good and everything was well set up for social distancing. My room was a standard room with one three-quarter size bed (small double), which was very comfortable and as it was at the back of the building it was extremely quiet. There were plenty of sockets and a mini fridge, with two bottles of complimentary still water (always much appreciated). The bathroom wasn’t huge, but did have a bidet and a good shower with a very trendy wooden floor. One of my other main reasons for choosing the Mercure was that I knew the rooms had a safe and as I had valuable work equipment with me, I wanted to keep it locked while I was out in the evening. Unfortunately as I tried to use it on the first night I found out the battery was low so the door wouldn’t lock. I didn’t have time to raise it with front desk as I needed to go out straight away (so took my valuables with me). The next morning I told front desk about the problem and they said they would sort it. On returning to my room that evening the battery problem had been resolved, but the safe would still not operate properly and I still couldn’t close the door. I went back to front desk to ask for another room, but was told I couldn’t change and they’d send someone in twenty minutes to look at it. Yet again I was on a tight deadline and I didn’t have time to wait, so for the second night in a row I took my valuables out with me. I am sure that this is an unusual occurrence for the hotel and the staff were all very polite to me, it was just frustrating on this occasion as it was a trip where I really did want to use the safe. As the hotel was just somewhere for me to sleep, I didn’t have breakfast either morning or visit the bar, so I’m afraid I can’t comment. This is a comfortable hotel in a quiet area of the city and when the new M4 Metro line (eventually) opens this hotel will be well placed, on a direct route to/from Linate airport. I would be happy to stay here again, but the first thing I would do is to make sure the safe is operational.…
I stayed here for 2 nights in early August and I loved my stay. The hotel was super clean, my room was an apartment style, with three rooms, more than sufficient. There was no room cleaning service during my stay because of Covid measures, and this was clearly explained, and was fine by me. The hotel is very close to the canal area Navigli, about 8-9 min walk, which was very convenient for lunch/dinner. All other attractions were 15 min walk and there were mobile bikes in a small park opposite the hotel. I would stay again.
