Overall really solid hotel right at the Duomo: location can not be beat. The lobby was surprisingly small and ugly-- definitely not judging the hotel solely on lobby but it was not the best first impression. The rooms were large for European standards. Super stylish and ours had a little balcony overlooking the street which was really nice. We had a bottle of wine waiting for us in room on arrival which was great! Rooms were very clean, though as I write this I remember when we first entered the room it had an overwhelming fabreeze-y smell that was headache-inducing. Got used to it or it faded after a day. Did not try breakfast.
At the beginning the staff was incredible. But on the first evening we complained that it's very cold in the room, and the reception guy excused it by "the new electricy low " we tried to explain that there is something wrong with the heating system and it doesn't properly work, so instead of checking the issue we got an extra blanket. On the second evening we complained again, and he reassured that he raised the temperature. At 1 am with two blankets and multiple layers of clothes we complained again that there is a problem. The reception guy sent us another two blankets and offered to transfer us for another hotel, 7 min away! When we refused because no one wanted to pack in the middle of the night and move to a another location, he suggested that we would email the hotel management. The heating system was fixed only the next day! Meaning that we spend two days in a freezing room when it's 0 degrees outside. And up till now, we didn't hear a word from the management nor an apology. This is not what we paid for! This is not a 4-star hotel service, and you need to be ashamed of yourself taking high rates and not even provide a basic facility such as heat in the room.…
Excellent location, just few minutes from the Duomo. Small cute hotel, very clean, . pleasant vibe. We skipped breakfast at the hotel, and had one in a close by bakery. Stuff is very kind. The room was lovely and clean.Shower room convenient and pampering
Such a luxurious hotel at a very affordable price. Perfectly located near the Duomo. Close to everything. Room size was very comfortable, the bed was perfect and a very large luxury bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The concierge Carlo was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel manager Silvia was exceptional. When in Milan you should definitely stay here. Thanks you to the great staff!
Absolute perfection location and the rooms are quite big compare to European standards. The staff in the entrance was great and helpful at anytime of the day and night. Everything was clean and the toilet / bidet separate from the sinks. Loved it!
Our travel agent booked this hotel and I figured that since the TripAdvisor score was pretty good, that this would be a good option. We were pretty disappointed. It's hard to deny how good the location is to the sites are as you are one block away from the Duomo and the other side of the piazza from the Vittorio Emmanuelle. The lobby is not impressive (which is fine) but the room wasn't either. It is modern-ish but lacking in charm or style. The walls were pretty marked up and the carpet had stains on it in addition to the wear and tear of a hotel carpet. Milan was hot when we were there. The A/C was marginal with the bathroom door open--we closed the bathroom door to keep the air conditioning in the bedroom but then the bathroom would become quite hot. The noise from the street trolleys could be heard from our bedroom. The staff was generally genial and accommodating.…
Absolutely loved my night at Maison Milan. The room was incredible, every little detail was thought of. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The location is fantastic 1 minute walk to the Duomo, 25 mins to Navigili district and 25 mins to the fashion area. Staff were wonderful. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more.
We booked one night in Milan at beginning and end of stay, This is a solid great 3 star hotel. And the location makes it a 4 star.Lobby is nothing and hallways a bit dated and in bad shape but the room was very very spacious and bed was incredibly comfortable AC made the room very comfortable location cannot be beat-it’s right around the corner of the Duomo so very worth staying here we paid $400 cdn which was probably too much for this hotel, but we couldnt find cheaper in this area -I wouldn’t pay more in Milan as you really walk all day and end up in your hotel to sleep -and u pay for location which I don’t mind-but also cleanliness was quite decent. Bathroom was huge. Hotels staff helpful but there r no services to speak of. We stayed only one night in both ends so it was perfect for our need.…
The bathroom was very large with updated fixtures and a large shower. The room itself had a strange layout. The main room had brown carpeting with large stains. The room itself could use a little TLC in terms of paint, carpet cleaning, and updates. The hotel was located one minute from the Piazza del Duomo and the Metro. It is located on a busy street and we dealt with loud noises and bright lights shining into our room. The lobby was very small and only had one person working at a time. The hotel clerk was able to provide some restaurant recommendations for us and provided information regarding city activities and attractions. This hotel definitely worked fine for our trip since we didn’t spend much time in the room itself, but didn’t offer much in terms of amenities.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Not really much of a lobby, but that’s not a big deal. We were thrilled when we arrived this morning that our room was ready early, since we flew overnight to get here. The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful, and gave us a recommendation for an amazing pizza place. Upon opening the door to our room we were speechless. THE MOST disgustingly dirty carpet I’ve ever seen, ANYWHERE. And it doesn’t look like the walls have been painted in twenty years. If we weren’t so exhausted we would have run for the hills, but instead we were just grateful that we both brought slippers because there is NO WAY we are walking barefoot in this disgusting room. The A/C in the room and the hot water in the shower is great. The loud vibration every time the underground train passes below, not so great. We are on the fourth floor so I can only imagine how bad the train vibration must be on the lower floors. It’s going to be fun trying to sleep tonight. Needless to say, we are happy we are only here for two nights. And there is no way we will ever stay here again.…
