This was our first trip to Mantova and we were blown away by this experience. Not just because of the beauty of the city but also because of the family who own and manage the museum and the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and the secret hiding place apartment was unique, spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The breakfast buffet with...

Incredible historic palazzo with gracious owners. Quiet comfortable luxury , rent a room with vaulted, frescoed ceilings. Convenient to historic sites in Mantova. Grazie mille to our hosts . We will be back again if God so wishes .

Even by the standards of top Italian hotels this place is just drop-dead gorgeous, you sleep in a superbly beautiful frescoed room, with high ceilings, and gorgeous pictures everywhere. The owners are lovely and interesting people. This is more than a hotel: it's an experience. If you come to this lovely town, don't miss it.

I have to say that we expected somewhat different level and service based on all prior reviews and we were prepared to having that unique experience in the museum (not hotel, etc). However... We stayed at the basement apartment for 1 night. Space is definitely huge! There are four sleeping areas (i don't call them bedrooms), two bathrooms. long hallway...

Grande apartement: a wonderful apartment in the basement lf a museum. If you want a lot of space, luxury bathrooms, very personal care and tips, then you are exact at the right place. Take a walk through the museum when you have time the next day, explore the city of Mantova.

We stayed at the great "Stanza degli Stemmi" (Coat of arms) - what an experience to stay in a museum! The room was super, just as advertised! Very modern, but still you had all the great "trimmings" of a room on the piano nobile of an old italian palazzo!! The bathroom was a dream! The owners - the Linardi family...

We stayed in the basement apartment which provides a huge amount of space and was excellent value for money. The layout is slightly different to that on the website but we had a very large bedroom with a beautiful brick domed ceiling, a good sized kitchen which also had a laptop for use, several other bedrooms, a bathroom (not in...

We stayed at the Casa Museo Palazzo Valenti Gonzaga in the middle of May. It was a truely unique experience. One reason for visiting Mantua was to see the Camera degli Sposi of Mantegna and so to stay in a palazzo that has such close associations with the Gonzaga family was thrilling. The location of the hotel is excellent. It...

We had a great time in Mantova and stayed here for 2 nights. The accommodation is amazing and the family who look after you are lovely and very attentive. We could not have asked for better service. The rooms are beautiful and breakfast was very good. Parking is available onsite, which was very useful.

I stayed at the Suite Sant'Andrea, separate from the main building (10 minutes walk) and just in the heart of Mantua. Location couldn't be better. It is in a 15th century building. The suite is cozy and impressive at a first glance, but the low ceiling gives a bit of claustrophobic sense, a step in the middle of the room...
