Had 3 nights here and I did email to ask for a spacious high floor room which they kindly obliged. We had a lovely big balcony. The rooms are basic, but very clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast basic and you're only allowed one free hot drink, but it was more than adequate. Friendly service and a quick check in as we arrived late evening was welcome. The location was central to all the restaurants and shops but as most places around seemed to close by 10.30pm it was quiet in an evening. You do hear the shutters and the bit men in the morning though! It was nothing special but I'd stay here again, as they were obliging with kindly giving us a large room.
This is an average hotel at the city center. The rooms are old, but the bathrooms are renovated. They offer a decent breakfast. The employees are very friendly and helpful. If you are traveling by car, there is no way to get close to the hotel because it is on a pedestrian street. There is a free parking place 5 minutes away on foot, but if there is no spot, you can arrange with the guy at the reception so that he gives you his place when he leaves in the afternoon or find paid parking.
2 adults & 2 children / 2 nights / august 2018 the hotel is located in the pedestrian area, however no noise after 22:30 no access by car .. you have 2 paking areas in the proximity (50-70m from the hotel) rooms are not sophisticated, but clean breakfast is average, personnel is kind and helpfull excellent location / good value for money
We wanted somewhere special for our last holiday night dinner. Unfortunately we picked this place. No air conditioning on a roasting hot evening. The starter and main courses arrived together, which is more than I can say about the wine. It did not appear at all ! The food was ok, but the service was haphazard, to say the least. We will NOT be returning to this particular establishment !!
Ate here on a recent trip to Stresa. The staff were friendly and our order taken quite quickly. However it took ages for the food to come. When I asked one of the waiters about it he went to check and the food came out about 1 minute later! They seem to have enough waiting staff but maybe there is not enough staff in the kitchen! The food was fine but there are better places to eat in Stresa. Lo Stornello was our favourite and we ate there twice. It was excellent!
