We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The meal was ok but the waitress was overworked and gave us some wrong information regarding our meal. We would not revisit. It is well placed in the centre of town.

We didn't stay at the Hotel Moderno, but we did dine at their Restaurant twice. The first night we ate at the Hotel we arrived before the Restaurant officially opened and were looked after by a very nice waitress called Francesca. She opened to Hotel for us and served us 2 Gin and tonics with some nibbles. On sitting down outside under the canopy we were served and looked after beautifully. Our trip to Lake Maggiore was to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary so we decided to return to Hotel Moderno to celebrate on the actual day, which was Wednesday. Francesca looked after us and we felt our experience and treatment was exceptional. She made our evening memorable in the best possible way. She is probably the best waitress we have ever been served by. To put this into context, we have dined at several Michelin Starred Restaurants; none of which compares with the service we experienced from Francesca. Thank you so much Francesca.…

Recently returned from my 3rd stay at the Moderno as part of a Glenton Coach tour. Hotel is friendly, very well appointed & spotlessly clean. The staff in Reception & the dining room couldn’t have been more helpful. Small problem with AirCon in bedroom but after speaking to Reception, it was fixed the same day. Chef and dining room staff very accommodating to a fussy vegetarian in our party. This Hotel never disappoints, we had an excellent stay & will return again.

Very nice, three star hotel with an excellent staff. I'm really sorry I didn't get their names but they were all lovely and helpful. Decent continental breakfast and decent sized rooms. Not luxurious by any means but immaculately clean and fantastic location!! I would highly recommend this hotel. Good prices too!

We had dinner at the Hotel Moderno restaurant. It was such a disappointment. The waiters were very friendly, but the food needs serious upgrading and re-thinking. No taste, the vegetable seemed frozen. Well, it was just not good enough.
