Wonderful hotel - beautiful dining room, with charming Italian service. The views from the hotel across Lake Maggiore are lovely. Very convenient to the main town centre which is again just charming. Plenty of choice in restaurants and some very nice shops albeit on the expensive side.

After looking very carefully at Stresa we finally chose the Regina Palace, when we arrived it is a very grand hotel, but the reception is a this tiny hole in the wall with not enough staff for a hotel this size, however we got our room which was a Lake View, and settled in, we first noticed the slippy rugs...

Just got back from a week staying at this great hotel. I couldn't fault the service, especially in the dining room. The food was superb and nothing too much trouble for the friendly waiters. The gardens surrounding the hotel are delightful and the bar near the pool very useful for drinks and snacks during the day. Overall a thoroughly great...

We stayed here in early May with Riviera Holidays . The hotel is very pleasant , and the staff friendly and helpful . We had a room overlooking the gardens rather than the lake , but is was clean , comfortable and quiet at night . The hotel is convenient for the town and ferries . The only snag was...

We recently stayed here for a week via Inghams on our second visit to the lovely town of Stresa. We chose the Regina Palace because of its new indoor pool. The hotel dates back to the bell epoch era of the early years of the 20C. We chose a room overlooking the extensive gardens at the rear - a little...

Stayed here in early May, for a week, when with a Riviera Travel (UK Company) holiday group. A very elegant hotel that apparently first opened in 1908. One half expected a group of Edwardian ladies, on their Grand European Tour to come striding in! Overall deserves its reputation, is very conveniently situated on the lake shore and only a few...

We stayed at this hotel and were put in a suite overlooking a building site. Workmen started at 7.30 and made as much noise as possible. The rooms were dirty and the wooden floors were lethal and very slippery. The place was not fit for purpose and should have been closed until work had been completed. I could write a...

I suppose Italian labor law prevents the hotel from firing grouchy employees, but for the price visitors deserve better. Perhaps the elderly woman who staffs the office near the rear of the property has retired by now. During our visit she averted our eyes when we had a question and didn't recognize our existence. Meals are a treat, both for...

I was at this hotel on a business trip. Nothing much to comment about the welcome at the hotel, the rooms, the attitude of people at the hotel reception....sigh! I was arriving at the hotel early morning so had reserved a room from the previous night. I was checked into the smallest room at the hotel. It is understandable that...
