Hotel with 50 rooms. Restaurant.Bar. We are within easy reach of the railway station which is about 400 meters from the hotel and about the same distance from the main boat terminal which is the departure point for the visits to the Borromean Islands.
Two lifts. Air conditioning. All rooms with private bath or shower, telephone, satellite television lcd, safety deposit box.
Nicely located hotel with beautiful view over the lake. Super nice and helpful owners / staff. Breakfast was also really good. I recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff and central location.
A very clean and comfortable hotel about 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal and the centre of Baveno. Excellent breakfast with lovely, cheerful and efficient staff in the dining room. Beds firm but very comfortable i.e. no aches in the morning! Lakeside park and a small beach area right across the road with a cafe/bar staffed by hotel staff. Overall a great hotel that met all of our needs without the expense of a 'Grand' hotel.
This review relates to a stay last September. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 11 day stay. The manager and his staff were great couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel was spotless the meals were great and very good value, the manager did suggest other restaurants, the pick was Amelie which was a short walk from the hotel we enjoyed stunning food and service. Our room had a great view of the lake which includes the three beautiful islands just a short boat trip from Bevano. The manager was very attentive and always came up with great suggestions for walks and trips. We also enjoyed the waterside cafe / bistro which is situated in the park opposite the hotel.
Second time we have stayed here it's that good. Stayed here for a week after visiting a couple of years ago for a short break. Staff work very hard and are extremely friendly, they will chat to you with a nice friendly smile, help you with anything you need or let you know what is going on in the area that day. Rooms are modern and cleaned daily to a very high standard also have air con. Breakfast is good with fresh croissants on your table everyday, there was a good selection of cooked meats and cheeses, fresh bread and rolls, cereals, cakes, biscuits and fresh fruit. Plenty of juices and flavoured tea, the coffee was great. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that but we regularly used the bar for pre drinks and a night cap, again staff were excellent and the prices reasonable. There are towels in the reception area so you can go to the rocky beach at the lake which is situated at Villa Fedora opposite the hotel. Here you will find a lovely little snack bar run by the Hotel Alpi that does good food for lunch, salads, focaccia with ham and cheese, pizza and other Italian dishes, prices are very reasonable, everything seems to be under 5 euros. If you order drinks in the early evening you will get lots of the left overs from lunch for free! They also have events in the evening, while we there, there was a Spanish night with sangria, paella and dancing. Back to the location of the hotel, it's a 10 minute walk max to the centre and the ferry terminal to reach the Borromean Islands, which are an absolute must. A supermarket is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough, we love it and will definitely be back again, they even gave us a bottle of wine on check out which we enjoyed on the terrace in Rome which was a lovely touch.…
Not thrills, very “Italian lake side” hotel, where they know the rooms will be sold out anyway, so why bother... However, it was not bad, just ordinary, and a bit noisy (since it’s right in the road). Bright point was Hillary the receptionist, who was very sweet, attentive and helpful.
