From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, happy and excited to be there. Our host was charming, gentile, kind, entertaining and had thought of everything to make our stay memorable and comfortable. We really enjoyed chatting with him and the other guests. He even politely endured my attempts to speak en francais. The home was beautiful and quiet. The...

Chute Couette Cafe was one of the highlights of our Quebec trip. First off, the location of Colbert's place was very easy to find with available parking. As it was only 5 degrees the day we arrived, it was a great and heartwarming to enter his place with a blazing fireplace going as we entered. The room was spacious, clean...

We appreciated the thoughtful greeting we received upon arrival at B&B Chute Chouette. Colbert was very helpful and pleasant. Our stay was very short, and our room was very small, with shared bathroom. All facilities fine but not luxurious. The best part was the breakfast, where we shared travel tips with all the guests. This was the first stop en...

What a find!!! I have never met a couple so well suited to their jobs. Francine and Colbert were absolutely great hosts and their home was very well appointed. Our room was very comfortable and sitting on the patio, listening to the waterfall and watching the St Lawrence across the street was a real treat. Breakfast was superb with lots...

This B&B on the St. Lawrence River is great. It's about 2 hours east of Quebec CIty and makes a good stop-off if you're heading further east to the Maritimes or Gaspe Peninsula. I stayed there in 2010 and we gave it a try coming and going to Nova Scotia this year. Notre-Dame-du-Portage is a small village but is only...

A beautifully decorated house along the shore of Notre Dame du Portage. Breathtaking sunsets , amazing old houses lining rue du fleuve with sign posts giving the history of the area. Quiet, relaxing locale. A small waterfall tucked between the B&B's small terasse and the next house. You can cross the road and go down a little path and walk...

This is a modern bed and breakfast that was kept up and upgraded so the level of confort and cleanlyness would beat most hotels. A couple of rooms have a shared bathroom. I stayed in the room with its own bathroom - nice modern equipment for a 20$ upgrade charge - reasonable since the room has a king size bed...

Francine and Colbert were kind hosts; very friendly and amiable. We had our high school French, and they their high school English, so we were able to communicate without any difficulty. We had only planned to stay here on our way to the East coast, but due to a schedule change on our part and a cancellation on their end,...

Our night here was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. Just cross the road and go down a little path and you are on the beach looking across the St Laurence. Get lucky and there’ll be a sunset that you’ll remember for a very long time. We had the river facing room and though perhaps a little smaller...

Great location in a small well done neighborhood in Notre Dame du Portage. We returned once again to this well run B&B with views of the St. Lawrence. The innkeepers have operated the B&B for over 10 years and still enjoy it. The waterfalls adjacent to the house provide lovely background music if it's warm enough to sit outside on...
