The stay in SoloSonno was great. The room looked just like in a picture, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and there were many hangers for wet things. Also there was a small fridge and a safe. The room was air-conditioned. The breakfast was ok: coffee, tea or juice and to eat bread, jam, nutella, cheese and pre-packaged cornetti. Yoghurt. Milk. Cereal. Many things to choose from. At night it was very quiet because the place is located in a quiet street although near the promenade. It os also relatively near Malgrate - a small town much quieter than Lecco with a charming promenade and many great trattorias (better than Lecco if you like to feel local atmosphere). The only drawback was that the hostess (pretty much the only person we had contact with) speaks only very basic English. She continued to talk to us in Italian though we said we do not understand. We had to ask another guest to translate when we wanted to ask about luggage deposit. All in all the place is great for an enjoyable stay by the lake if you do not mind language barrier.…
Spacious and clean room. Furniture is modern and nice. Bathroom is also nice. Seems like the place has been renovated recently. Solosonno is located at walking distance from the lake and the city centre. Breakfast mainly consists of pre packaged food and plates etc is all disposable plastic. In my opinion, some fresh food and decent plates and cutlery would make a world of difference. Coffee is OK. Parking is free in the surroundings.
After 2 days they didn't change my towels!!!! Do you believe it ? And nobady here that i can talk to her or him 🤔🤔🤔😳😳😳, it's better don't counting their wifi, the manger very nice and polite gentleman , but you see a immoral and impolite lady works on here , i don't know why she is angry but im sure she try to change het behavior 😡😡😡😡😡, solosonno in good location in lecco
Cannot fault this place, a very comfortable stay in a lovely room with a view. Owner was away when we arrived, so after a few shoddy attempts at italian managed to explain what we were doing there to the acting manager, for what it is it is perfect.
Although this is by no means a 5 star hotel, it is clean and comfortable in a charming older building. The bathroom is modern and clean. We arrived here extremely tired and jet lagged, however the owner helped us with our bags (no elevator, but they are not as common in Italian hotels) and was very accommodating. Although they don't have air conditioning, open windows are more than enough in the cooler mountain climate of the Italian lake district. The breakfast is modest, but adequate. The location is great, its a short walk to the city centre.
Called the owner for directions as soon as I arrived in Lecco, he was extremely helpful and was ready to welcome me to the hotel even though I arrived earlier than expected (my bad). I was given a key-card which makes it possible to just leave and return to the premises any time you please without having to ask reception. The room wad quite spacious with a decent bathroom. Decent self-service breakfast. Highly recommended if you're staying in the beautiful city of Lecco, since it is also very close to the lake and not too far from the station and city centre.
No lift, no air conditioning (so very hot and stuffy), no body wash, strange rough sheets. Wifi very patchy. Very little lighting in the room, just tiny side lights. The location is good for the town and the lake but it was really noisy. This was partly because there was a storm but also because of the constant noise of neighbouring shutters opening and closing. The sound proofing within the building wasn't great and it wasn't possible to close the room doors quietly. The breakfast was very minimal and only plastic cutlery was available. No hot drinks other than coffee available.
Stayed here as part of a business trip to Italy as the company I work for is based nearby and decided to stay in Lecco to experience Lake Como in the evening. The Hotel is very central, I would say about 10 minutes walk from the station and five minutes at most to the Lake and the centre of Lecco. On arrival the staff where excellent, telling me what was in the local area and where is good to eat, what there is to do in Lecco and provided a useful map of the town which served me well. Room was very nice, I had an en-suite bathroom, double bed (which was comfy) tv, fridge, security box and desk. Breakfast was very basic, just toast and yoghourt with tea/coffee but the staff again where excellent in serving me this. Overall I was very impressed with Solosonno, I know that it is a relative economically priced hotel for the area but did feel like I was staying in a much more expensive hotel. Would happily stay again on my next business trip.…
