My friend reserved this bed and breakfast for me because she lives in Lecco and the bed and breakfast I normally use was closed for the period. On arrival I was met by the owner who spoke good English and he showed me the very small room (single bed built into a cupboard) with a low cupboard above the bed which you must be careful you don't bump your head. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Because I was the only guest I had the dining area and bathroom to myself but during busy periods I think it would have proven a bit embarrassing with trips to the toilet and bathroom if taken at the same time as guests were eating breakfast. This didn't apply to me. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. It was very uninteresting and coffee was made the night before and stored in a thermos flask for me in the morning. It was tepid by the time I drank it. It might be a good idea for the owner to invest in a Dolce Gusto coffee maker or similar so guests can make their own coffee and drink it hot! There were no body washes, soaps or conditioner in the shower and no coffee sachets in the bedroom. There were different teas. Thankfully I took my own teabags. The room was 39 euros which was reasonable but even though I had a single room I should have experienced the same standard service as other guests seem to have had during their stay. I was up at 5 am and didn't expect to see the owner but would have liked a better breakfast experience e.g. cheese, hard boiled egg, bread, bowl of prepared fruit salad. I can't eat cereal as I am gluten intolerant. Never mind!…
It was a special weekend, 2 couples in a so amazing place, price good, beautiful panorama, lovely people, top cleaning. We stayed there only for 2 days but see all things that enjoyed us. The structure is new and well equipped, lot of light if you open all the windows and is quite good the garden outside with amacas and the pool(that we haven't enjoyed cause was December) Amazing. Completely raccomanded, we'll come back soon.
Loved the 2 bedroom apartment style room up on the hill! The rooms were spacious with their own bathroom, mini fridge, TV, keyed entrance, and desk. Both rooms shared a kitchen which was fitted with a fridge, sink, microwave, and stove top. Plus all the necessary items to make or eat meals with. Pedro was a wonderful host whose breakfasts were fantastic! What a chef! I will definitely stay there every time I come to Lecco, which will be frequent as my husband has work related business there!
My husband and I stayed here for a week in August and loved the home and family. It was definitely challenging to find the house as we didn't have a gps. The hosts could not have been more gracious and accommodating and prepared delicious, homemade breakfast every morning. We had been having hotel breakfasts up to his point so enjoying such a lavish, homemade spread was a real treat. One night we got in late and only had left over pizza from lunch. The owner set out a candle light table with vino and glasses as if we were one of the family. The restaurant they recommended was wonderful, as were all their other recommendations given. It is further from the lake than I had imagined which was my only disappointment. I highly recommend this B&B you'll be well provided for.
In July 2014 our family had the pleasure of staying four days at “Alla Bonacina bed and breakfast”. Already upon arrival we were greeted by very welcoming and hospitable hosts. Being a family of four (two adults and to teenagers) we had chosen to rent the complete house, and certainly it met our expectations to the fullest. Two large bedrooms each having a very nice and well equipped bathroom. All of it was cleaned every day. We had exclusive access the separate kitchen in front of the house which made it possible for us to cook dinner. Breakfast was served by our hosts and indeed it was delicious meals we got. Each day an Italian speciality. We also had exclusive access the the swimming pool which was kept nice and clean. One day our host served freshly home made ice cream by the pool. Due to the differences in the ground level the garden was build in plateaus. Some with vegetables, some with herbs, some with flowers. We did envy the very well kept garden. We had a great stay at “Alla Bonacina bed and breakfast” and we surely come back again.…
An all too short stay for buisness but what an experience! Stayed for one night only with a collegue who collected me from Bergamo Airport and spent the journey telling me how unique this B & B was. As we pulled up outstisde the gated car park my inital thoughts were pretty uninpiring, however this view soon changed. Easy check-in process and we were made to feel very welcolm by the owner, so much so I took up the offer of a homemade beer, fantastic. Lovely, modern and comfortable rooms behind the main house with its own kitchen anex, the most perfect and picturesque setting. Fantstic local style breakfast in the morning, what a gem I will certainly return.
This was one of the special places I've stayed. Great friendly hospitality, amazing food and super knowledge of the local area especially for cycling enthusiasts. I loved the welcoming house and vow to return I was so impressed. Nothing was too much trouble for these kind and thoughtful hosts. A big thank you from a very wet and tired cyclist.
