We visited Lecco for one night back in April and it was only a bit of a stopover really, on our way down to Florence. However, we are so glad we did stay as Villa del Cigno was an absolute find! The couple who own the property have done a beautiful job in restoring it and they could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast featuring freshly-cooked pancakes was excellent! We were so impressed that we are hoping to visit the area again in the future, purely for an excuse to stay here again!
Very special place to stay. The villa has large rooms and services are excellent. Our host Vivianna has given a lot of tips on where to eat and places to visit. Cleaning on a daily basis and the personal touch Vivianna provided made our stay in Lecco one we will remember for a long time!
An amazing place to stay and enjoy with a family, 5 minutes from the center, really good breakfast with fresh products and always helpful and friendly service 5/5!!! The owner recommended us to visit different places and they were amazing! I do recommend this place!
The owner and also the only staff on this hotel, Viviana, is a very nice and hardworking person with great sense of service. She helped us with everything we asked for such as things to do and see in Lecco. This was our first visit here and she absolutely made us feel welcome and wanting to come back again. Thanks Viviana😍
My husband and I stayed in the Bellagio suite. It was on the top floor of this lovely villa built in 1880. Our hostess, Marion, was a lovely person; full of good advice regarding restaurants, directions, etc. The resident cat, Nicky, is an added bonus; very cuddly and friendly. The breakfast was sufficient and the bed conducive to a good night's rest. While toiletries, e.g., shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, may have been provided upon request, I thought it was odd that they were not provided at the onset of our stay. No worries as I had brought my own. Would we stay here again? Yes!
We stayed in the Bellagio suite for a week and enjoyed every second of it. The suite has a huge bedroom, en suite bathroom with shower & bath and a side room with views on the mountain that we used for yoga and meditation. The location is great; 10 minute walk from the old town and easy to reach by car (private parking) and train (5 10 minute walk from train station). He beds are super comfi (memory foam), there is more then enough storage space for you luggage, a minibar and the rooms are clean and decorated with attention. The perfect place to be when you want to explore the Como Lake! But what made our experience complete, was the excellent service of the hosts! They showed us amazing places, were always available for tips and made us feel at home! So besides a truely great holiday, we also made new friends! A stay to never forget😘…
I highley recommend this B&B. Marion is a very warm and friendly host. She thought about every detail. My girlfriend is a vegan and Marion made sure she had everything she wanted and got spoiled a little bit :-). It’s a very beautiful place with a very beautiful host who welcomes you with a bright smile. We will certainly come back here when we go to Lake Como again.
By far the best B&B experience I’ve had. The beautiful host Marion was extremely helpful and welcoming. The food was wonderful, and the location is superb. Our room was lovely and spacious and the environment was Devine. I wish we could have stayed longer. Absolutely recommend. Thankyou for having us!! X
Great place to stay. In a very quite area on walking distance of the city centre. The atmosphere is just great. The owner is very nice and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast with a wide variety and tasty Italian food. We'll be back for sure!
This might possibly be the best B&B experience we've had. Beautiful, comfortable house with a light, airy decor and located in a very nice part of Lecco. The guests rooms were lovely and grand with period details, comfortable beds, a small fridge including snacks and drinks and accessories for tea. The bathroom was a dream with gorgeous marble floors and walls with elegant fixtures. Although the house is grand, it doesn't feel stuffy or pretentious, just relaxing and comfortable. We felt welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Marion was an excellent host. She was always just a phone call away and helped with reservations, boat trips, local stores, walks and everything in between. We quickly felt as though we had a "friend" to call on if we needed anything. We had our dog with us and she was welcomed with open arms. The large walled garden with secure gates meant she could run around freely. The breakfast was wonderful with local produce and all homemade breads and pastries. The kitchen table had homemade cakes available throughout the day and night and you could always help yourself to cold water and ice from the big fridge. A couple of things to keep in mind, although bright, clean and newly decorated, the house is very old. This being said, the walls insulate well between the rooms, so you can't hear other guests talking or general activity; but you may hear the squeaking of wood floors above. We knew this couldn't be avoided and didn't have a problem with it, but others might be more sensitive. Also, double check your room has a fan ( I think they are all supposed to). All in all, a superb experience and we would definitely stay again and recommend. …
