The Hotel Borgovico is situated in Via Como 91 Como stone's throw from the historic center and near to the train station. Our reality is born after a careful renovation that has allowed us to achieve 11 rooms, some with exposed beams and stone walls. All equipped with air conditioning, LCD TV and internet wi fi connection. The Hotel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere of complete relaxation.

Excellent helpful staff. Rooms well proportioned and clean. The location is very central and is only a short walk to all the main sights and attractions. Breakfast is good and excellent value. Highly recommended.

I called this evening to book a room. The male receptionist seemed very unhappy to answer the phone as it was late. He gave us a price which was higher than on internet, this was not a problem, we would have gone back to booking online as we only called because usually you can get a cheaper rate if you call a hotel directly (in our experience, especially last minute.) The receptionist seemed furious that we had checked the internet first (?). He raised his voice very quickly, was literally shouting down the phone, declaring that we should have started the conversation by warning him that we already knew the price. The rant continued and we couldn’t make head nor tail of his apparent rage. I have never been spoken to so rudely by a customer service representative. It felt so absurd that it seemed like a Monty Python sketch. We obviously will be avoiding this hotel like the plague no matter how desperate we become as the evening goes on.

Response from Hotel Borgovico, Direttore generale at Borgovico Hotel
Responded 12 Nov 2021
We are very sorry to read a review like this. We think that there is something that you have not understood because the story from our receptionist is very different from yours, obviously you have had some incomprihension...  Our Staff is rated as one of the best for the Hotel's in Como, you can check online... That's very hard for us trust in your story, we are at reception doing our job, every guests is welcome at every hour if they respect the rules.  The prices difference can be an error or a special discount made by the online agency (they do that without the Hotel's agreement), but in any case we have never have had an impolite receptionist for this or other reasons. We are sorry if you won't to come in our Hotel because, as you can see we have a lot of satisfied clients. Best regards Hotel Borgovico

Very friendly and helpful people, nice rooms with a mix of old and new architecture, very good breakfast, near to the main station and only 5-10 minutes away from the lake and the old town. Convenient!

Staying one night in twin bedded room was good. Recently renovated room with huge rain shower. Very quiet at the back of the hotel. Staff is friendly and Covid precautions well adhered to. Parking easy to find in the street. Only one comment and that is the beds are very hard and only covered by a single sheet. This is not nice and perhaps not most hygienic. Otherwise no complaints and prices are correct.
