Hotel Du Lac was so much more than expected. The owners and staff were wonderful! The rooms were modern and very clean. A very quiet and friendly hotel with all the amenities; even a spa. The free breakfast could have been better, but, hey, it’s free! We enjoyed the happy hour on the rooftop very much. Jean, with the dinner staff was wonderful! The dinner menu could have some more options.
Lovely stay. We were only here for one night - and booked at short notice. Thus we didn’t have a choice of room - whilst our room was tidy and clean, we’d much have preferred a lake/town view (which wasn’t available), so much recommend upgrading if you are able. Breakfast was lovely, with a nice terrace view over the lake. Spa also fantastic- had a brilliant massage from Francesca which was the best in living memory! Giulia on reception very welcoming, reception very helpful when we needed to drop our bags off earlier than check-in. Didn’t get much chance to use the roof terrace but this looked nice too! Perfectly situated right opposite the ferry. Grazie!
My partner and I didn’t eat or stay here, however we couldn’t believe the kindness of the two lovely waitresses, Carmen and Stefanie, who gave us a lift back to Como at 3 in the morning (60 mile round trip) after we were denied entry onto the last ferry! They really went out of their way, especially having having just finished a long shift! The kindness was incredibly touching. If you’re planning on a visit to the restaurant, please show them lots of love :))
Amazing staff and service. Grazino (sorry for the spelling) was extremely helpful and made our stay so enjoyable. Views from roof and breakfast area wonderful! Lovely place to stay. Remember you will be usingthe ferry system to get around.... you can see the ferries come in from the breakfast table. Best located hotel I have stayed at
Stayed at the Hotel du Lac in Bellagio. Hotel is in a superb location right on the front opposite the ferry dock. Staff at hotel were brilliant always helpful and friendly. Room was excellent, nice decor and clean. Breakfast was excellent and eating it on the balcony with the stunning views of Lake Como, best way to start the day!
We loved our stay at Hotel du Lac. The spacious room had an incredible view over the lake, the bed was very comfortable, and the rooftop terrace was nearby. We could not have wished for a better ending to our honeymoon in Bellagio. The helpful and friendly staff even provided us with a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy on the balcony.
A wonderful family run hotel with the perfect location. The bar is fun and lively, the chef produces world class food and the hotel has real charm. The bar on the sun terrace and the new spa facilities also add to the overall appeal of this amazing hotel.
We’re coming here for years and love it! It is a very nice property with a very good restaurant, outside seating and a rooftop bar overlooking the lake. It’s family run with friendly staff situated directly on Lake Como conveniently opposite the passenger ferries
We enjoyed our stay here in an upper floor room with side lake view. Room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony and two chairs. The only negative was a noisy neighbor for two days. He had the audacity to talk to his partner in the room. Obviously the walls were not too soundproofed. We drove from Milan in torrential rain. Arrived around 8.30pm. No one to help with bags since there was just one young lady at reception to check us in. Street parking outside hotel is first come first served. Whew...... I remember I booked a hotel parking spot. She gave me a map of sorts and off I went into the rainy night to find this precious parking. It took a while and I caused a couple of traffic snarl ups before I finally found the parking place. I walked back to hotel in pouring rain, about 10 minutes. Reception told us that their restaurant last order was imminent, so we settled down for dinner. Limited menu but we enjoyed the food. Breakfast was sufficient and you can order your eggs al gusto. There is a veranda off the breakfast room for when its not raining, Bellagio is a fantastic town with great restaurants and shopping. Its upscale touristy. Hotel is opposite the ferry stops on the lake, so convenient. Its preferred to walk and explore the town. There are lots of cars orbiting the 'loop' trying to get a space to park on the lakeside. When the rain stopped, hotel opened their rooftop bar. What a wonderful experience. Fantastic ambiance. Just one night though for our 4 night stay.…
situated in the heart of Mennagio right on town square with view overlooking lake it’s the perfect spot to explore the area. rooms are a good size, bathrooms are spotless and breakfast was pleasant. there is no on site parking but you can easily park close by on the street. Great way to experience Lake Como without breaking the bank. make sure to book a boat with AC boat rentals which is a few meters away from the hotel!
