We just spent 3 nights here and loved it.It's right in the middle of the historic centre and within walking distance of all the main points of interest. There are good restaurants and bars nearby. It's owned by a family and they are just lovely-helpful and very welcoming. The decor in the hotel is quirky and unusual, full of interesting touches and ideas.Breakfast...

Room 203, I was there for business and I always need 4 basics: 1. cleanness 2. silence 3. good wifi connection 4. good location I had all of them plus a WONDERFUL BREAKFAST and a very nice hotel owner (Patrizia and her husband, and the wonderful dog). The hotel and the rooms are shabby but very clean, and the view...

This hotel is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and excellently situated on the edge of the old town. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the Teatro Carlo Felice and Piazza de Ferrari. The rooms are reasonably priced. Some might think the decor is unusual but if anything that adds to the experience. Breakfast is served on a small roof terrace...

We stayed here for the second time, the first time was in 2013. A lovely hotel, run by the owner family so I was told. The hotel is situated in the old town near the Piazza Ferrari, but mostly quite at night. For breakfast we were served homemade quiche’s and marmalade, a real treat. We will come here again, should...

Totally bonkers hotel, with mad 50s furniture and decor. Lights may not always work, but who cares! The staff (family run) are happy to sort anything out. Breakfast is a real treat, overseen (and cooked) by the matriarch. As for the view, it's sensational, on the top floor overlooking Genoa's medieval roofscape down to the sea.

I stayed in Hotel Colombo for 10 days during November 2015. They have some quirky interiors but once you get past that, it is a very comfortable hotel in the middle of the town. It is very close to Piazza de Ferrari and Santa Maria Church. It is also close to 6th Decembre street which is great for shopping. For...

Location is great, you can walk to the harbor or stroll through the city centre without having to take bus/metro. Owner is very friendly and flexible when we asked to stay another night. First it wasn't possible but when he received a cancellation, he notified us immediately. Rooms are large, and excentricly designed. Good breakfast with a view.

First impressions were a bit daunting, but we had booked for a week so got on with it. The room at the back on the fourth floor was quiet and reasonably comfortable. "String" doors on wardrobe area a nuisance so tied them back, fridge was cool enough to keep water, I liked that the bathroom was off the main room,...

I was supposed to spend a lot of time in this hotel but after only few minutes I decided to change it. I have a food intolerance quite common and I asked the owner if that was a problem and if he had any gluten free products for breakfast. "You can buy the food you need at the pharmacy nearby"...

The girl on reception was very helpful. My room was a little quirkily decorated with rather badly done pink stripes on the wall and a painted door. It was a decent sized room and the window looked onto a small alley way so no view. There was a fridge but it didn't work and the electrics in the room looked...
