Literally 50 steps from the train station. The check in location is a little tricky to find, but locals are more than happy to point you in the right direction. The window of the room overlooks the beautiful Vernazza main street. The shower was splendid, and we slept with the window open as the cool mountain air was welcome. The... More

Very convenient for the train station, though that means loud train noise all night. A very comfortable, well-furnished and smartly-decorated bedsitting room, with a part of the hillside in the very modern and well-equipped bathroom! Very steep steps into the apartment.

stayed here during our visit to Cinque Terre. let me start with the downsides.. - first off, don't bring big luggage. the stairs leading to the room are extremely narrow and steep. very precarious for my pregnant wife too. - secondly, the noise is terrible. our room was a stones throw from the train station. every train came with screeching... We ordered a room for one night, half a year before coming and thought everything was allright. On the day we arrived (at 16.00), the hotel said that we had cancelled it. We were upset becourse we travelled with kids, and we know that we didn't cancel. At the same time (in front of the reception) we head some other... More

We stayed one night, check in is in a nearby shop, since it is not a hotel a such, but private apartments managed from a shop. A bit overpriced but the whole city is the same. Nice and clean, friendly staff, but do not bring large luggage or go here if you can't climb narrow stairs and steps. Vernazza is... More

We had the top room (no.2), which has a small 'reception' area with sofa at the top of the staircase, a pleasant bedroom with balcony overlooking the main street, and a bathroom (shower only) tiled in nausea-inducing green... The accommodation itself is good, but the room is close to the railway station, and passing trains are pretty loud...We spoke to... More

When we arrived in Vernazza we were very much impressed by the location and ease of check-in. We enjoyed the first night in our room, the bed was a little loud and uncomfortable and the street was loud also but we expected it to be loud, Vernazza is very small and the hotel was so close to the train station.... I must say that I have the fondest memories of staying here. We were lucky enough to have a balcony in order to view the locals and the tourists unabashedly. The directions to the reception area were precise and if we had followed them correctly we wouldn't have had the fantastic tour of the little town that we did! The... More

The room we had at Rollando faced the street. It was cramped and poorly laid out. You could not walk around the foot of the bed because one corner was jammed against the wall. You had to climb over the bed to get to the window. The TV was a cheap thing that, although it stuck out of the wall... More

We travelled to different parts of Italy on September 2012 and we enjoyed the places a lot including Cinque Terre but we were very disappointed with Rollando, Vernazza. It was difficult to find the reception for checking in and the stairs to the hotel room was very steep and high(very dangerous). Room was lack of ventilation, no air condition only... More
