Hotel was nice enough ... walked the long, steep way around (thanks to phone map) and asked was there a shorter way when we got there and they said no .. turns out there was a direct way (still steep), through the village. Also asked is there a cab/luggage transport service and also told no .. there was ... reception...

Be warned - this place is at the top of the hill so if you have heavy suitcases it's a long way to walk from the train station. Hotel is clean and functional with great views. Customer service is hit and miss even with the same staff. Breakfast is beautiful and is probably the best hotel breakfast we've had in...

If you arrive by train you may want to email the hotel for bus schedules up the hill, (the hotel is at the top of the village). If you have luggage, the Euro 2.50 is a bargain for the national park bus that leaves from in front the Banca Carige near the station several times a day. There used to...

I actually stayed in September (sorry for the late response lol) as Cinque Terre was a birthday trip for myself. I stayed for 5 days. I did initially try to request a room with a balcony but they didn't have any left. When I went to the room, it was nice and clean and I still had access to a...

This hotel is way up the mountain and we stayed for 2 nitghts resting up after walking the trails. Beautiful veiws and fabulous breakfasts, we did have a full functioning kitchen, helpful if staying longer. We had a large terrace that wrapped the unit and it was complete with table, chairs and umbrella for shade. The owner even loaned us...

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (sleeps four, but there were only two of us) run by the Hotel Villa Argentina. Apartment was comfortable and clean. Large equipped kitchen (which we did not use). Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Bathroom ok - not massive water pressure in the shower, but quite functional. Nice terrace with fine sea view (which...

By arriving Riomaggiore by train, you'll be a a few minutes walk away from the marina and lower parts of the town. To go from here to the hotel, just follow the main road. Its a 10-15 minute walk (the road is fairly steep, so a rolling luggage is not your best option), or a couple of minutes on the...

We stayed here for 1 night arriving by boat from Monterosso. We didn't realise it was quite so far up the hill so it was a tiring walk with our bags to the top. However the views from the place are totally worth it, and it was a very quiet area out of the centre. The rooms were nicely appointed...

Great view over the city and bay, very pleasant staff and superb breakfast with fantastic array of fresh fruits, homemade jams and cakes crunchy bread and tasty cheese and ham, and coffee. Just be aware that the rooms are small and it is best to be slim for the shower.
